As of 9:00 a.m. on October 5, the total number of customers affected by storm No. 10 was 3,803,996; of which 3,687,512 customers had their power restored, reaching 97% of the total. Electricity industry staff are still working urgently to complete the restoration, and are ready to deploy new tasks, ensuring a safe and stable power source to respond to the upcoming storm No. 11.
Previously, EVNNPC issued an urgent dispatch to respond to storm No. 11 (MATMO). EVNNPC requested units to deploy many disaster prevention measures, including: continuing to strictly implement the directives and documents of the Ministry of Industry and Trade , EVN and EVNNPC on disaster prevention and search and rescue in 2025; absolutely not being subjective, closely monitoring weather developments; organizing 100% of the staff on duty, implementing the motto "4 on-site" - "3 ready", fully preparing human resources, vehicles, supplies and spare equipment.
Member units must establish a shock team of at least 60 people, with direct command from company leaders, ready to mobilize within 8 hours; proactively respond to heavy rains, flash floods, landslides; jack up and move materials and equipment to safe places; coordinate with authorities, functional agencies and telecommunications, and at the same time propagate to people to use electricity safely and not to repair it themselves when there is an incident.
Power companies are required to mobilize manpower, equipment, and temporary steel poles to promptly fix problems, restore power to customers, promptly report and coordinate reinforcement when needed. Hydropower plants prepare necessities, materials, and equipment to promptly respond to emergency situations.
Regarding labor safety, workers must comply with regulations, wear life jackets when crossing flooded areas and be alert for landslides and flash floods in mountainous areas. Projects under construction must have plans to prevent floods and landslides; protect machinery and equipment and review property and construction insurance records.
With the spirit of urgency, determination and absolute safety, EVNNPC commits to closely coordinate with localities to respond to storm No. 11, ensure stable power supply and serve the people.
