Novak Djokovic entered the fourth round of the 2025 Shanghai Masters against Jaume Munar. The veteran Serbian got off to a flying start, capitalizing on Munar's serve error in game four to break.
Despite his opponent saving three chances, Djokovic still succeeded with a classy performance. However, Nole was injured shortly after and had to seek medical attention. Despite limited movement, he still maintained the game, ending the first set with a score of 6-3.

Entering set 2, Djokovic played with a sore leg, while Munar played resiliently with many durable shots.
Djokovic's declining physical condition caused him to make mistakes, especially in game 12 when he missed two consecutive serves and lost 5-7. After that, the 38-year-old had to call for medical assistance once again.
The drama intensified in set 3. Despite being at a physical disadvantage, Djokovic suddenly broke through, winning the break in the first game. Munar was clearly out of breath, continuously losing important points.
Djokovic took full advantage, getting another break before closing the match with a 6-2 victory, a dramatic 2-1 victory overall, and a ticket to the Shanghai Masters quarterfinals.
