Delegation of Nghe An Provincial Party Congress offered flowers and reported achievements at Uncle Ho's Statue

This afternoon, October 1, before the opening of the 20th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, the delegation of the 19th Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee and heads of the delegations offered flowers and reported their achievements at the statue of Uncle Ho at Ho Chi Minh Square.

Representing 500 official delegates attending the Congress, the delegation respectfully offered a beautiful flower basket to the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh , expressing their infinite gratitude for his great contributions - the genius leader, great teacher of the Vietnamese revolution, national liberation hero, outstanding cultural celebrity.

At the ceremony, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Trung, on behalf of the Party Committee and people of Nghe An province, reported to Uncle Ho on the outstanding achievements in the past term. In the context of favorable conditions mixed with difficulties and challenges, the whole province has strived to achieve many comprehensive results in all fields.

Notably, the economy grew quite well, averaging over 8%/year; the economic scale increased by 1.7 times, GRDP per capita was 1.67 times higher than in 2020. Budget revenue reached the set target; FDI attraction made a breakthrough, being among the leading groups in the country for 3 consecutive years. High-tech industry began to take shape, opening up a new direction for development. Agriculture shifted strongly to commodity production, applying high technology, associated with new rural construction.

Education maintains its leading position in the country; healthcare develops remarkably, affirming its role as the center of the North Central region. Culture and sports develop in the right direction, and Nghe An's identity is spread. Social security is guaranteed; Nghe An takes the lead in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for the poor and those with meritorious services before 2025. National defense and security are maintained, regional connectivity and foreign affairs are expanded.

Party building and rectification work has been promoted, discipline has been tightened; the organization has been streamlined and operations have been efficient. Cadres at all levels have gradually met requirements, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility for the common good.

The results achieved in the past term are a solid premise for the Party Committee and people of the province to enthusiastically enter a new era of development with new momentum.

However, the 19th Provincial Party Executive Committee also seriously acknowledged a number of limitations: economic development has not been commensurate with potential; the lives of a part of the people, especially in remote and isolated areas, are still difficult; some aspects of culture, society, national defense, Party building work, and the political system are still limited.

Before the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh and the moment of the great political event of the homeland, the entire Party Committee and people of Nghe An province vow to continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, maintain solidarity, promote innovation, build a clean and strong Party and political system; determined to make Nghe An develop rapidly, soon become a well-off province of the country in the new era of development, worthy of the expectations of the Party, State and people, as well as Uncle Ho's wishes during his lifetime.

The 20th Congress of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, took place from October 1-3. With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", the Congress has the theme: "Building a clean and strong Party Committee and political system; comprehensive innovation, breakthrough development, striving to make Nghe An a fairly developed province, a national growth pole in the new era of development".
