Businesses work overtime to ship goods before the new year 2025

Many export enterprises in Da Nang are working overtime to export the last containers of goods before the new year 2025, surpassing the 2024 target.

My Phuong Foods Co., Ltd. (Hoa Son Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang City) has just exported 3 containers of coconut cake products to the markets of Korea, Japan, and China. This is the company's next shipment to these markets. In addition, the unit has also recently exported containers of goods to the Russian Federation market.

Many Da Nang export enterprises said they have completed their 2024 production and business plans and are entering the Tet goods season, kicking off 2025.

Ms. Mai Thi Y Nhi - Sales Director of the company - said that thanks to the proactive promotion and trade connection of the unit and the trade promotion programs supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Trade Promotion Agency, Vietnam Trade Offices abroad), the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City, this year, the export turnover of the unit increased by 200% compared to the plan and accounted for 50% of the company's revenue. Currently, the company's products are present in many demanding markets such as Japan, Korea, the United States, the EU, and China.

Ms. Nhi added: “ My Phuong Foods has just successfully promoted an order with a partner in the Israeli market. The container to this market is expected to leave Da Nang port at the end of December 2024. We are working hard to meet the order and successfully close the 2024 export activities.”

Similarly, at Da Nang Forestry Export Joint Stock Company (Hoa Cam Industrial Park, Cam Le District, Da Nang City), Mr. Huynh Trinh - Director of the company - said that up to now, the unit has almost certainly completed the set plan for the year. According to Mr. Trinh, the timber export season of the unit is from June this year to June next year.

“In terms of seasonal production, the company has met the set plan. In terms of yearly production, the company's workers are currently working overtime to deliver containers of goods to partners in December 2024, and if the progress is guaranteed as expected, we will end 2024 exceeding the set annual plan by about 5%,” Mr. Huynh Trinh shared.

At Huong Que Production, Processing, Trading, Import-Export Company Limited (Hoa Khanh Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City), Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son - Director of the company - happily shared: "Huong Que Company has 'reached the finish line' of the 2024 plan. For export activities, we expect to increase about 20% in both quantity and revenue compared to 2023. Currently, the company's employees are still working hard to work overtime to meet the delivery schedule for export to partners."

According to a representative of Huong Que Company, in addition to the traditional EU market, in 2024, the company will also seek, promote trade and expand exports to the UK market and the island nation of Mauritius.

Many export enterprises in Da Nang are working overtime to meet the last orders of the year, closing out a successful 2024.

Ms. Do Thi Quynh Tram - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City - said that during the year, the Department of Industry and Trade has actively advised, proposed and implemented many activities to support businesses, including export businesses. Such as continuing to implement projects to promote Vietnamese businesses to participate in foreign distribution networks until 2030; action programs to implement the Strategy for Import and Export of Goods until 2030.

Implementing the project to develop logistics services in Da Nang City to effectively connect with the Central Key Economic Zone and the East-West Economic Corridor for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.

In addition, organizing international exhibitions and fairs in the city to create opportunities for businesses to enhance investment cooperation, trade connection, and promote exports. Typical examples include the 2024 East-West Economic Corridor International Trade, Tourism and Investment Fair (EWEC Da Nang Fair 2024) and the 2024 Da Nang Trade Connection and Export Promotion Conference.

Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade recently connected Da Nang manufacturing enterprises with a large distributor in Japan.

“ In the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade will continue to accompany and support businesses in connecting and promoting the export of Da Nang products to traditional markets as well as exploring and expanding markets, taking advantage of incentives from FTAs ​​that Vietnam is participating in to increase export turnover to these markets, ” said Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City Do Thi Quynh Tram.

According to the Department of Statistics of Da Nang City, in the first 11 months of 2024, the total import-export turnover of Da Nang City is estimated to reach more than 3.02 billion USD, an increase of 10.5% over the same period in 2023. Of which, exports are estimated to reach nearly 1.78 billion USD, an increase of 4.8% and imports are estimated to reach nearly 1.25 billion USD, an increase of 20%. The trade balance maintains a trade surplus, with the trade surplus in the first 11 months of 2024 reaching 529 million USD.

According to the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion, Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang, the EWEC Da Nang Fair 2024 attracted nearly 50,000 people and tourists to visit and shop; direct sales at the fair were more than 30 billion VND.

At the 2024 Danang Trade Connection and Export Promotion Conference, there were 9 memorandums of understanding signed between manufacturing enterprises and distribution and export enterprises.
