Up to now, Binh Son Medical Center has invested in facilities, completed synchronous software systems such as: Central information system, laboratory information management system, medical image storage, transmission and consultation system, digital signature application, electronic signature and synchronous implementation of electronic medical records. The system allows two-way data connection, minimizing procedures and processing time.

Nurse Nguyen Thi Le Chi - Emergency Department, Binh Son Medical Center said that when implementing electronic medical records, doctors and medical staff do not have to move from one department to another to get test results. Patient information is updated regularly, and can communicate content and medical conditions to departments in the hospital. From there, it helps to take better care of people's health.

Binh Son Medical Center examines and treats about 600-700 outpatients and about 250 inpatients every day. Since implementing electronic medical records, the center no longer has to print X-ray films. The average examination time has been reduced by 50% with a stable network system. It is easy to look up prescriptions and medical history.

Electronic medical records are an important step in the process of digital transformation of healthcare, not only contributing to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment but also aiming to build a modern, transparent and effective healthcare system. Strive with the entire provincial health sector to complete the goal of deploying electronic medical records before September 30, 2025 according to the Government 's roadmap.

Electronic medical records have the same legal basis and functions as regular medical records. All information about professional procedures, medical orders, medical history, and treatment progress of the patient are digitized, with standardized and seamless data, and the implementation process minimizes the use of paperwork.

Shortening the waiting time of patients is a clear benefit of the electronic medical record that has just been deployed at Binh Son Medical Center. During the examination and treatment process, patients do not have to store documents such as: Diagnosis results, tests, drug lists, etc. Patients also do not have to worry about losing test results because all patient information is saved on the software system.

For patients, when they come for examination and treatment, a medical identification number is created. When they come for examination and treatment, the results of ultrasound, tests, diagnosis, disease progression, treatment methods, prescriptions, and follow-up appointments are all confirmed on the computer system and stored in the center's database.

“The implementation of electronic medical records not only helps reform administrative procedures but also shortens waiting times, increases accuracy in treatment and patient monitoring. This is a solution to standardize processes, save operating costs, and at the same time improve people's satisfaction.
