The 1st National Interventional Digestive Endoscopy Conference

On October 4, at Bai Chay ward, the Vietnam Interventional Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Association opened the 1st National Interventional Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Conference.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Cong Long, President of the Vietnam Interventional Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Association, delivered the opening speech at the Conference.

The event took place over two days, October 3-4, with the participation of nearly 1,500 members, including more than 100 domestic reporters and many leading experts from advanced medical backgrounds around the world .

With the theme “Elevating Endoscopy Practice: Global Insights for Local Impact”, this year’s conference not only updates new knowledge and international standard procedures but also emphasizes the transformation of treatment models that are suitable for Vietnamese practice and can be applied sustainably from central to grassroots levels.

Within the framework of the Conference, the scientific sessions will focus on many outstanding contents: Presentation and discussion of direct intervention cases rich in training; modern diagnostic techniques such as NBI in early detection of gastric cancer, key intervention techniques ESD, EUS and advanced biliary-pancreatic interventions, post-procedure care and monitoring processes introduced in a closed chain from screening, lesion identification, minimally invasive treatment to event management and recovery...

This is also the first national forum dedicated to interventional gastrointestinal endoscopy, creating opportunities for domestic and foreign doctors to share experiences, transfer technology, and make interventional endoscopy not only a supporting technique but also a key specialty, helping to reduce traditional surgical interventions and improve treatment effectiveness.
