Comrade Hoang Van Nghiem was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of Son La Provincial Party Committee.

According to the Politburo's decision on personnel work, comrade Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, was officially transferred and appointed to hold the position of Secretary of Son La Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

On October 12, Son La Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo 's decision on personnel work. Comrade Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organizing Committee attended and delivered a speech at the conference.

At the Conference, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Phan Thang An announced Decision No. 2452-QDNS/TW dated October 5, 2025 of the Politburo on the transfer and appointment to hold the position of Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Accordingly, comrade Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the 15th term of Lang Son province, ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term and related positions; transferred and appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, hold the position of Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term from October 15, 2025 and appointed to participate in the Party Committee of Military Region 2.

Presenting the decision, giving flowers to congratulate the new Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee and giving a speech assigning tasks, comrade Le Minh Hung said that comrade Hoang Van Nghiem (born in 1968, from Lang Son province, Tay ethnic group) is a cadre with basic training, with a Master's degree in economics.

He is a cadre who has grown up from the grassroots and has held many different positions in Lang Son province such as: Deputy Director of the Department of Trade and Tourism; Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office; Secretary of the Provincial Agencies Party Committee; Secretary of the Loc Binh District Party Committee; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee since December 2024.

At the 18th Lang Son Provincial Party Congress, he was re-elected as Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term with a very high number of votes.

Comrade Le Minh Hung emphasized that Comrade Hoang Van Nghiem is a capable and experienced cadre in Party building and State management, determined, close to the grassroots, and capable of gathering and uniting within agencies and units.

During his 30 years of working in Lang Son province, he has always fulfilled his assigned tasks well. As Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, he has worked with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee to make efforts, unite and be united to lead and direct Lang Son to achieve many important and comprehensive results in all fields.

The Politburo believes that with your experience and mettle, you will excellently complete the tasks entrusted to you by the Politburo.

The Politburo requested comrades in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and leaders at all levels and sectors in Son La province to promote the tradition of solidarity, unity, support, companionship and assistance so that comrade Hoang Van Nghiem can continue to make efforts to lead and direct to make Son La province develop even more strongly in the coming time.

Comrade Le Minh Hung requested Comrade Hoang Van Nghiem, in his new position as Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, to closely follow the direction of the Politburo at the Provincial Party Congress, focus on the highest efforts and determination, and work with the Executive Committees and Standing Committees to urgently organize, disseminate and immediately implement the action program of the Provincial Party Congress for the term 2025-2030 to soon bring the Resolution of the Congress into life.

At the same time, promulgate working regulations, assign tasks, and arrange cadres after the Congress, ensuring democracy, objectivity, and proper procedures, creating consensus, promoting the spirit of solidarity, innovation, and creativity within the Party Committee.

Comrade Le Minh Hung believes that the Party Committee, government and people of Son La province as well as the new Provincial Party Secretary will continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, the strength of great solidarity and the achievements of the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and the previous Secretaries to lead and direct the Party Committee, government and people of the province to excellently complete all assigned tasks; build Son La province to become increasingly rich, develop rapidly and sustainably and become the economic-social center of the Northwest sub-region.

In his acceptance speech, the new Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, Hoang Van Nghiem, expressed his deep gratitude to the Politburo, General Secretary To Lam, the comrades of the Secretariat, and leaders of the Central Organizing Committee for their attention, trust, and entrustment of the important responsibility of being the head of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, a land of outstanding people, with a heroic revolutionary history, and an important position in terms of socio-economics, national defense, and security in the Northwest region.

At the same time, comrade Hoang Van Nghiem seriously accepted the instructions and assigned tasks of comrade Le Minh Hung and promised to specify them in programs and plans to lead, direct and resolutely carry out and best complete the assigned duties and tasks.

“Personally, I have worked for more than 33 years, held various positions in agencies and units in Lang Son province as well as held key positions in the province and always completed all assigned tasks well. Now that the Politburo has assigned me the important responsibility of being the Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, I am deeply aware that the task in the newly assigned area is both an honor and pride; a valuable opportunity for me to continue to learn, practice and contribute, and at the same time a heavy responsibility before the trust of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Party Committee, the government and more than 1.4 million people of Son La province,” the new Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee shared.

The new Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee said that he will quickly grasp the situation of Son La province, continue to inherit and promote the glorious revolutionary tradition of the province; promote well the role and responsibility of the leader, continue to make efforts, try, constantly study, practice, improve political capacity, set an example in preserving moral qualities, lifestyle, learn, absorb the work experience of previous generations of leaders, always be dedicated, devoted together with the collective of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee and the people of all ethnic groups of Son La province to promote the spirit of solidarity, high unity, determination to innovate, take drastic and effective actions to inherit and promote the achievements that have been achieved.
