VTV.vn - According to the decision of the Politburo, Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, was officially transferred and appointed to hold the position of Secretary of Son La Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.

On October 12, Son La Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work. Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung attended and delivered a speech at the conference.

At the Conference, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Phan Thang An announced Decision No. 2452-QDNS/TW dated October 5, 2025 of the Politburo on the transfer and appointment to hold the position of Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Accordingly, Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the 15th term of Lang Son province, ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term and related positions; transferred and appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, hold the position of Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term from October 15, 2025 and appointed to participate in the Party Committee of Military Region 2.

Presenting the decision, presenting flowers to congratulate the new Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee and giving a speech assigning tasks, Head of the Central Organization Committee Le Minh Hung said that Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem (born in 1968, from Lang Son province, Tay ethnic group) is a cadre with basic training, with a Master's degree in economics.

Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem is a cadre who has grown up from the grassroots and has held many different positions in Lang Son province such as: Deputy Director of the Department of Trade and Tourism; Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office; Secretary of the Provincial Agencies Party Committee; Secretary of the Loc Binh District Party Committee; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee since December 2024.

At the 18th Congress of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nghiem was re-elected as Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term with a very high number of votes.

Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung emphasized that Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem is a capable and experienced cadre in Party building and State management, determined, close to the grassroots, and capable of gathering and uniting within agencies and units.

During his 30 years of working in Lang Son province, Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem has always fulfilled his assigned tasks well. As Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, together with the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, have made efforts, united and unified to lead and direct Lang Son to achieve many important and comprehensive results in all fields.

The Politburo believes that with his experience and mettle, Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem will excellently complete the tasks entrusted to him by the Politburo.

The Politburo requested comrades in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and leaders at all levels and sectors in Son La province to promote the tradition of solidarity, unity, support, companionship and assistance so that comrade Hoang Van Nghiem can continue to make efforts to lead and direct to make Son La province develop even more strongly in the coming time.

Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung requested Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, in his new position as Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, to closely follow the direction of the Politburo at the Provincial Party Congress, focus on the highest efforts and determination, and work with the Executive Committees and Standing Committees to urgently organize, disseminate and immediately implement the action program of the Provincial Party Congress for the term 2025 - 2030 to soon bring the Resolution of the Congress into life.

At the same time, issue working regulations, assign tasks, and arrange cadres after the Congress, ensuring democracy, objectivity, and proper procedures, creating consensus, promoting the spirit of solidarity, innovation, and creativity within the Party Committee.

Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung believes that the Party Committee, government and people of Son La province as well as the new Provincial Party Secretary will continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, the strength of great solidarity and the achievements that the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and the previous Secretaries have achieved to lead and direct the Party Committee, government and people of the province to excellently complete all assigned tasks; build Son La province to become increasingly rich, develop rapidly, sustainably and become the economic - social center of the Northwest sub-region.

In his acceptance speech, the new Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, Hoang Van Nghiem, expressed his deep gratitude to the Politburo, General Secretary To Lam, the comrades of the Secretariat, and leaders of the Central Organizing Committee for their attention, trust, and entrustment of the important responsibility of being the head of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, a land of outstanding people, with a heroic revolutionary history, and an important position in terms of socio-economics, national defense, and security in the Northwest region.

At the same time, Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem seriously accepted the instructions and assigned tasks of comrade Le Minh Hung and promised to specify them in programs and plans to lead, direct and resolutely carry out and best complete the assigned duties and tasks.
