Comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan, former Deputy Prime Minister, former Minister of Education and Training , visited Nguyen Thien Thanh Secondary School, Tri Phai commune.

During the visit, Comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan had a friendly chat with the staff, teachers and students of the school; expressed his joy at seeing the well-invested, clean and beautiful facilities; the united and dedicated teaching staff; the well-behaved students with good training awareness. He hoped that the school would continue to promote the local tradition of studiousness, build a friendly and creative educational environment, and meet the requirements of fundamental and comprehensive educational innovation in the new period.

Nguyen Thien Thanh Secondary School (formerly Tri Phai Secondary School) was renamed on September 1, 2017, to commemorate and pay tribute to Professor, Doctor Nguyen Thien Thanh, father of comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan, who made many contributions to Vietnamese medicine and education . Also in 2017, comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan mobilized more than 4 billion VND from donors to upgrade and repair the school, creating a modern and spacious learning environment.

A row of classrooms at Nguyen Thien Thanh Secondary School is spacious and clean after being upgraded and repaired with the mobilization of more than 4 billion VND called for by comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan in 2017.

In addition, the “Professor Nguyen Thien Thanh Scholarship Fund” founded by the family of comrade Nguyen Thien Nhan has become a meaningful source of encouragement for poor, near-poor students, and students who overcome difficulties to study well. Every year, the fund awards many scholarships, helping them have more conditions to study, nurturing the studious spirit of children in Tri Phai countryside.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Nguyen Thien Thanh Secondary School has 33 classes with 1,150 students and 62 staff members, teachers and employees. The school's teaching staff continues to innovate teaching methods, increase the application of information technology, build a friendly school, active students, and strive to maintain the title of Advanced Labor Collective for many consecutive years.

Students of Nguyen Thien Thanh Secondary School actively participate in learning and training activities in a friendly and modern educational environment.
