More than 100 trainees, including artisans, prestigious people and people from areas with tourism activities, attended the training course.
The training course took place over 2 months, with experienced artisans and lecturers directly instructing and conveying key contents such as: potential and orientation for tourism development in Ca Mau ; origin, history of formation and development of traditional art forms of the Khmer and Chinese people; methods of preserving ethnic minority culture associated with tourism development.

In addition, students are also equipped with skills to create tourist presentations, visit Khmer and Chinese pagodas, and practice performing musical instruments and traditional dances.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ly Vi Trieu Duong emphasized: this is a practical activity to implement Project 6 on "Preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development" in Ca Mau province.
Mr. Ly Vi Trieu Duong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, affirmed that the training course not only raises awareness of heritage conservation in the community but also opens up livelihood opportunities through linking traditional culture with tourism development.
This is also a major policy of the Party and the State, demonstrating deep concern for preserving national cultural identity, promoting the value of intangible cultural heritage associated with sustainable tourism development. Thereby, contributing to enhancing the role and responsibility of the community in managing, preserving and promoting the cultural values of the Khmer and Hoa people in tourism development.
Dr. Phan Van Dan, Principal of Bac Lieu University, said that the coordination in organizing training courses contributes to improving the effectiveness of training and fostering the capacity to preserve and promote the traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities in Ca Mau province.
Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Bac Lieu University presented flowers to thank the artisans who participated in teaching.
