According to the report of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak province, after the merger of Dak Lak and Phu Yen provinces, Dak Lak province is now a locality with a large number of ethnic minorities. The number of poor households is still quite high, according to the poverty standard for the period 2022-2025, by mid-2025, the total number of poor households is 40,917, accounting for 5.08%. Average income per capita is still low, production of ethnic minorities is mainly agricultural, housing of poor households and near-poor households is still makeshift, especially poor households of ethnic minorities, while resources to support construction are still limited.

On behalf of the leaders of Dak Lak province, comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed: The support fund from Dong Nai province is very large and valuable, helping the Party Committee, government, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, socio-political organizations and people of Dak Lak province have more resources to care for the poor, making practical contributions to the emulation movement "Joining hands for the poor - leaving no one behind". The support fund from Dong Nai province will be a great source of encouragement for people in Dak Lak province, those in especially difficult circumstances, helping them have the opportunity to escape poverty, build a prosperous and happy life, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province. After receiving it, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak province will manage, supervise and use the support fund for the right purpose and the right subjects.

In Dong Nai, implementing the emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide", in 2025, the province built 1,576 new houses and repaired 383 houses with a total value of nearly 122 billion VND, completing the quantity and exceeding the national progress by 6 months.
