The large number of tourists flocking to visit Hue Imperial City this time, in addition to free tickets, is partly thanks to the "attraction" of Kien Trung Palace - a magnificent architectural work that was just restored in early 2024.
Kien Trung Palace relic was renovated, restored and embellished with a budget of nearly 124 billion VND in early 2019. On the occasion of the recent Lunar New Year, this relic opened its doors to visitors for the first time after a long period of restoration.
After being restored, the majestic beauty of Kien Trung Palace attracted the attention of many people and tourists.
This has become a "hot" check-in location for many tourists when visiting Hue Imperial City.
Mr. Do Dinh Quan (a tourist from Hanoi ) shared: "I learned about Kien Trung Palace during the Lunar New Year through social networks. But seeing it with my own eyes, I realized that this construction is much more beautiful and magnificent than I imagined. I am very happy and feel lucky to be able to come and visit the Imperial Citadel for free on a very special day like this in Thua Thien Hue province."
It is known that on major holidays, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center often offers free admission for residents and tourists. On these occasions, the relics in the Hue Monuments Complex are often crowded with visitors.
