On September 9, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center began to implement the policy of not welcoming tourists to visit the interior of The Mieu (Hue Imperial City). Previously, since the end of August, this information had been sent to travel agencies and widely announced for tourists to know.
According to the reporter's records, the two side doors to the inner palace of The To Mieu were previously closed. Instead, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center opened the five main rooms in the middle of the building; at the same time, it installed a row of fences so that visitors could only stand from the outside and look into the interior.

Many tourists said that they had received information about the adjustment of the sightseeing area at The Mieu Temple, so when they came here, they proactively sought out information about the The Mieu Temple relic located at Hien Lam Pavilion.
Here, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center has arranged a TV to show the history of the The Mieu relic from its construction until now along with related information.
In the yard right in front of the main building of The To Temple, the center also arranges a suitable altar to facilitate visitors who want to offer incense.

Mr. Huynh Tien Dat - a tourist from Da Lat who came with his family to visit Hue Imperial City, said: I strongly support the implementation of traffic separation at Thai Hoa Palace relic as well as limiting and not allowing visitors to visit the interior of The Mieu Temple.
“In reality, not all tourists behave civilly in heritage spaces; not to mention, in many groups of tourists there are young children who are quite active, making mistakes and unexpected situations difficult for accompanying parents to foresee.
In my opinion, this is a solution not only to ensure the solemnity of the worship space but also to preserve the heritage work for future generations" - Mr. Huynh Tien Dat expressed.

Many tourists present at the The Mieu relic site expressed regret at not being able to enter the inner palace, but agreed with the solution of the relic management unit.
In addition to the group guests who were specifically informed by the tour guide, many individual guests were guided by the security at The Mieu relic and actively visited from the outside.
A group of tourists from Quang Ngai expressed their regret because this was their first time visiting the Hue heritage site. However, upon receiving the information, they agreed and proactively offered incense at the altar in front of the shrine.

The relic site of The Mieu Temple covers an area of more than 2 hectares, including many different structures. In particular, the main structure of The To Mieu Temple has a typical wooden palace architecture in the style of "multi-storey houses"; the rectangular ground plan is 54.6m long, 27.7m wide, and has an area of up to 1500m2.
The main structure of The To Temple has a main hall of 9 compartments and 2 double wings, and a front hall of 11 compartments and 2 single wings. This is where 10 Nguyen Dynasty kings are currently worshiped, and is considered a sacred place in the Hue heritage site.
