Outstanding loans for social housing program in Dong Nai reached nearly 528 billion VND

(DN) - On October 2, Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Branch 2, Nguyen Duc Lenh, said: As of early September 2025, the total outstanding loan balance for the social housing program in Dong Nai province reached 527.6 billion VND with more than 1,200 borrowers.

Only counting the social housing credit program for policy beneficiaries implemented through the activities of the Social Policy Bank, Dong Nai province branch, the loan turnover in the first 8 months of 2025 reached 132 billion VND, an increase of nearly 62% over the same period last year.

This result is promoted and together with solutions on social housing development, the supply of social housing is implemented according to plan, will be an important factor to carry out the task of meeting the housing needs of the people and the goal of ensuring social security and sustainable growth in Dong Nai province in the coming time.

Currently, credit institutions in Dong Nai province are implementing social housing credit policies through two programs: Social housing loans under Decree 100/2024/ND-CP implemented by the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies and social housing loans under Resolution No. 33/2023/NQ-CP dated March 11, 2023 of the Government on a number of solutions to remove obstacles and promote the safe, healthy and sustainable development of the real estate market implemented by commercial banks through a preferential credit package of VND 145 trillion.
