Duc Phuc won an international music competition, singing about Saint Giong and attracting attention.

(Dan Tri) - Singer Duc Phuc won the Championship with the performance "Phu Dong Thien Vuong", inspired by the poem "Vietnamese Bamboo" by poet Nguyen Duy.

On the evening of September 20 (local time), the final round of the international music competition Intervision 2025 was held at Live Arena stadium (Moscow, Russia).

The contest has the participation of many countries and territories, such as Vietnam, China, India, Cuba, Venezuela, Egypt, South Africa, USA, Kazakhstan... In which, the representative of Vietnam is singer Duc Phuc.

With a total score of 422, Duc Phuc won an impressive victory, far surpassing the runner-up, the representative from Kyrgyzstan (373 points). The male singer won the crystal cup and a prize worth 30 million rubles (about 9 billion VND).

Duc Phuc burst into tears of joy after winning the international music competition. "That moment will be deeply imprinted in this little heart," the singer said after winning the Intervision 2025 Championship.

Thousands of viewers left comments congratulating Duc Phuc on his victory, praising the young generation of Vietnamese singers for increasingly affirming their talent and homeland identity in the international arena.

On social networks, Russian audiences also praised the representative from Vietnam for convincingly winning the championship after an impressive performance.

In the final night, Duc Phuc performed in 20th place, performing Phu Dong Thien Vuong - a song composed by musician Ho Hoai Anh, inspired by the poem Vietnamese Bamboo by poet Nguyen Duy.

Intervision is a music competition originally called Intervision Song Contest, initiated by the International Organization of Radio and Television (OIRT) in the 1960s.

This year, Duc Phuc accepted an invitation from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to participate in the program.

Each contestant prepares a performance of a popular song in the country at the time of the contest, or a new composition. The stage has a maximum of 6 people including the main singer, backing group and dancers. Each country sends one member to the jury and the face of Vietnam is musician Trong Dai.
