On the afternoon of October 4, the funeral of musician and People's Artist The Hien took place at the Ministry of National Defense Funeral Home, Military Hospital 175 (Hanh Thong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). His family includes his first wife - Mrs. Minh Tu, his current wife - Mrs. Kim Phuong, his son - musician Bao Huy, his daughter - singer Lan Anh, his grandchildren and relatives.
The funeral was filled with flowers from colleagues, partners, relatives and acquaintances. The idea of displaying photos of the late musician on both sides of the aisle like an exhibition came from musician Bao Huy.
In the photos, People's Artist Thế Hiển still smiles brightly, true to his familiar image when he was alive. His family also placed items in his memory, from a guitar to a collection of 40 hit songs.
Family members say that People's Artist The Hien loved flowers and nature during his lifetime. He was an artist and had a dreamy personality, so the decoration needed to be more meticulously cared for. Singer Lan Anh - The Hien's daughter - was distraught at her father's funeral. As soon as the funeral began, many artists such as Quyen Linh, singer Le Anh, actor Cao Minh Dat... came to burn incense to say goodbye. The fourth wife of People's Artist The Hien - Ms. Kim Phuong stood by the coffin to pay her respects. Due to grief over her husband's passing, Ms. Phuong would like to share nothing more. In the condolence book, she said: "Dear, may you rest in peace. Your siblings and children will always remember you with the most beautiful memories. We love you so much!" and signed the couple Hien - Phuong.
Message from artist Quyen Linh and singer Le Anh in the condolence book.
