On the evening of December 11, at Ho Guom Theater, the Gala Night to award the "Human Act Prize" was held, organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper, under the direction of the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs , the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the coordination of VCCorp Joint Stock Company .
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association , Head of the Award Organizing Committee said that the first year of the award not only sought timely support projects, projects with the ability to spread and inspire widely;
The award also finds pioneering units that dare to take the first steps to find a development model towards sustainability, creating a change in the face of an entire region and an economic sector.
Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Head of the Award Organizing Committee spoke at the ceremony.
Regarding the award, Mr. Minh shared that among the nearly 130 submitted applications, there were many individuals, organizations, and units that had quietly begun their journey decades ago.
"They are constantly experimenting and adjusting, and are constantly looking for ways to improve their programs/projects to make them more systematic and professional, in order to create stronger impacts, thereby bringing about many changes to an area, or simply helping individual lives. Their concerns, steadfast belief and enthusiasm are an endless inspiration for the award organizers.
Any action for the community, no matter how big or small, will contribute to the greater goal that we all desire - a quality and sustainable life for the whole society. Do not hesitate to do good deeds, and do not hesitate to spread good stories in life", the Head of the Award Organizing Committee emphasized.
According to the Organizing Committee, to ensure the transparency of the award, all participating projects must go through a rigorous application process, including requirements to provide detailed content and documents.
Right from the preliminary round, reporters also directly met and made many field trips to learn about the projects, told the community the stories, methods and models of each project, as well as the values that the community benefited from these projects.
From the 35 projects that entered the Final Round, the Jury selected the best projects to award. The Human Act Prize categories were evaluated based on criteria that ensured impact, sustainability, commitment, creativity and community outreach.
Accordingly, the "Idea for the community" category honors projects with feasible implementation ideas, contributing to promoting the community in a more positive and sustainable direction.
The awards for this category go to the projects: Medicine Cabinet for Children by Genestory JSC; Cancer Patient Support Project - Community Medicine Organization and Ethnicity Vietnam Project - Stories of People of the Old Age.

The category "Project honors" breakthrough community projects that solve urgent social problems. In particular, "Timely Project" honors initiatives that effectively respond to urgent problems and the spirit of willingness to commit to the community belonging to the Social Charity Platform - Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank MB and "Zero-VND Tet Mini Supermarket of Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company" PNJ.
“Promising Project” honors projects that have the potential to grow rapidly and widely in the future. 5 promising projects honored at the ceremony include the Angel Project - Tokyo Life; the Moc Chau Child Care Project of Lieutenant Duong Hai Anh; the Fly to Sky charity group led by 19-year-old Le Van Phuc; and the Momo Piggy Bank project.
The “Persistence Project” honors the admirable efforts to maintain and develop long-term impacts for the community belonging to Vinamilk Dairy Joint Stock Company with its Vietnam Rising Milk Fund; Vietnam Airlines with its “Connecting Love with Golden Lotus” project; the Hope Fund supporting children in difficult areas of the Hope Foundation and the “Turn off the lights and turn on ideas” project of BOO Trading Joint Stock Company.
The project "Inspiration" honors community activities with high humanity, the ability to spread and replicate, activating the great strength of the community belongs to the project "Raising Children" by Hoang Hoa Trung;
The “Heart for Children” project of Viettel Telecommunications Corporation; the “First Aid Support” project of FAS Angel; the Salt Cancer Initiative of the Salt Water Warriors and the LOAN Foundation with the project to Support Children in Need.
The “Sustainable Project” award honors scientifically developed initiatives that bring about outstanding long-term and far-reaching impacts to the community, and belongs to the “Green Plan” project of Traphaco JSC;
Unilever Vietnam's "Circular Plastic Economy" project; Six Senses Ninh Van Bay's Sustainable Development Fund; the "Safe House" project of the Sustainable Community Development Support Fund and the "Smart rice cultivation adapting to climate change in the Mekong Delta" project of Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company.
In particular, the landmark "Community Action Award" category is presented to honor actions that bring positive and sustainable contributions to the community.
