Railways deeply reduce group ticket prices to attract tourists

Saigon Railway Transport Branch said that the railway is currently applying a program to reduce train ticket prices for groups with many attractive incentives for group passengers.

Accordingly, ticket discounts are applied according to the number of passengers in the group and the time of ticket purchase before the departure date, on the principle that the earlier the purchase, the larger the group, the more discounted the ticket.

Specifically, groups of 5-10 people, buying 1-4 days in advance will get a 2% discount on ticket prices, 5-19 days in advance will get a 4% discount, 20 days or more in advance will get a 6% discount. For groups of 11-40 people, the corresponding discounts are 4%, 6% and 8%.

Similarly, for groups of 41-70 people, the corresponding reductions are 6%, 8% and 10%; for groups of 71-100 people, the reductions are 8%, 10% and 12%. For groups of 101 people or more, the reductions are 10%, 12% and 14%.

For groups of tourists from travel companies accompanied by a tour guide, the ticket price for the tour guide is 90% off the ticket price for a seat or berth in a 6-berth cabin. For groups of 11-50 people, the ticket price is reduced for one tour guide; for groups of 51-100 people, the ticket price is reduced for two tour guides; and for groups of 101 people or more, the ticket price is reduced for three tour guides.

For passengers who are union members, there is a 5% discount when buying individual tickets, a 7% discount when buying group tickets from 10-39 people, and a 10% discount when buying group tickets from 40 people or more.
