Eximbank honored in Top 50 most effective businesses in Vietnam 2025

At the 2025 Corporate Governance Conference held in Ho Chi Minh City, Eximbank was honored in the “Top 50 Most Effective Companies in Vietnam 2025”. This award is a recognition of outstanding management capacity and business performance, affirming Eximbank’s increasingly strong position in the finance and banking industry.

Top 50 is an annual ranking organized by Nhip Cau Dau Tu Magazine in collaboration with Thien Viet Securities Company, with professional advice from Harvard Business School experts.

Eximbank was honored in the "Top 50 Most Effective Business Companies in Vietnam 2025".

The ranking is built from three consecutive years of data of listed enterprises, based on the criteria: revenue growth, profit, ROE, stock performance and market capitalization. The assessment through these financial indicators not only reflects the current performance but also demonstrates the long-term development potential of the enterprise.

According to the Organizing Committee, the group of enterprises in the Top 50 accounts for about 52.5% of the total market capitalization, with revenue in 2024 reaching 51.7 billion USD and profit after tax of 10.7 billion USD. In particular, the banking sector continues to maintain a prominent position with an average ROE of 18.5%, twice as high as the average of the whole market. Along with the growth trend of the Top 50, Eximbank has made its mark with outstanding achievements.

In 2024, the bank will achieve pre-tax profit of VND4,188 billion, an increase of more than 54% compared to 2023 - the highest level in 35 years of operation. Total assets will increase by 18.9%, reaching VND239,532 billion. Outstanding credit balance will increase by 19.72%. Net profit from service activities will reach VND1,080 billion, an increase of 110.1%; profit from foreign exchange trading will reach VND674 billion, an increase of 38.7%. Capital adequacy ratio (CAR) will remain at 12%-13%, higher than the SBV's regulation of 8%.

In the first half of 2025, the growth momentum continued to be maintained. Eximbank recorded pre-tax profit of VND 1,488 billion, net profit from foreign exchange activities reached VND 364 billion, up more than 76% over the same period. With traditional strengths in international payments and trade finance, international payment turnover reached USD 3.9 billion, up 28.3% over the same period. Capital adequacy and profitability indicators remained stable, creating a foundation for solid development.

In terms of operational scale, as of June 30, 2025, Eximbank's total assets reached VND256,442 billion, up nearly 7% compared to the beginning of the year. Outstanding credit reached VND184,663 billion, up nearly 10%, reflecting a clear improvement in credit quality.
