The price of SJC gold bars and gold rings increased rapidly, exceeding 87 million VND/tael.

(NLDO) – Domestic gold prices on the morning of December 11 increased rapidly following the world price, SJC gold bars exceeded 87.1 million VND/tael, the highest in the past 3 weeks.

On the morning of December 11, the price of SJC gold bars recorded a sharp increase, reaching the highest level in a month. SJC Company listed the buying price at 84.6 million VND/tael and the selling price at 87.1 million VND/tael, an increase of 1.5 million VND/tael compared to the previous day. This is the strongest price increase in many weeks.

In addition, other units also updated gold prices with relative fluctuations: PNJ and DOJI companies offered prices similar to SJC. Meanwhile, at banks, gold prices were different. Eximbank listed the buying price at 85.1 million VND/tael and the selling price at 87.1 million VND/tael. Sacombank applied a lower price, buying at 84 million VND/tael and selling at 86 million VND/tael.

SJC gold bar price is at its highest level in the past month

Not only gold bars, the price of gold rings and jewelry of all kinds also jumped. SJC Company traded 99.99 gold rings at 84.3 million VND/tael for purchase and 85.8 million VND/tael for sale, an increase of 1.2 million VND/tael compared to yesterday. The price of plain gold rings at different brands also had a difference, DOJI Group sold gold rings at 85.8 million VND/tael.

This development shows that the gold market is more active in recent days, with influencing factors possibly related to the international economy and increased demand for gold storage at the end of the year.

The rapid increase in domestic gold prices has surprised investors and the market, in the context of the world price jumping over 2,700 USD/ounce. At 9:00 am, Vietnam time, the gold price today on the international market was at 2,703 USD/ounce, an increase of more than 30 USD/ounce after exploding about 50 USD/ounce in the previous session.

In just the past 3 days, gold prices have jumped about $80/ounce and are at their highest level in about a month.

According to analysts, precious metals have not stopped rising as investors expect China to resume buying gold; the market expects the US to further reduce interest rates. Central banks in many European countries also continue to cut interest rates.

Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 83 million VND/tael.
