Vingroup urgently supports 500 billion VND for people affected by storm Bualoi

(Dan Tri) - Vingroup said that relief will be deployed immediately from today to promptly share difficulties and support local people to quickly stabilize their lives after natural disasters.

Vingroup Corporation has just sent an urgent dispatch to the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Fatherland Front proposing urgent support of 500 billion VND for people affected by storm Bualoi.

Relief will be deployed immediately from today to promptly share difficulties and support local people to quickly stabilize their lives after natural disasters.

The Group will provide emergency support in all provinces, cities and communes directly affected by storm Bualoi, focusing on three main groups: families whose members died due to the storm; families whose houses were completely destroyed; and families of meritorious people, war invalids and martyrs, and households in especially difficult circumstances whose houses had their roofs blown off by the storm.

Specifically, families with deceased or missing members: the support amount is 100 million VND/dead or missing person. Families whose houses completely collapsed will receive support amount of 60 million VND/household.

Families of meritorious people, war invalids and martyrs, and extremely poor households whose houses have had their roofs blown off will receive support of 20 million VND/household.

The total minimum support budget is 500 billion VND and Vingroup committed to increase the budget if the actual damage exceeds the estimate.

Vingroup, through Thien Tam Fund, has also coordinated with local authorities to deploy emergency relief. Rapid response teams will go directly to the scene to review and pay according to the confirmed list, ensuring timely, targeted and transparent support.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman and General Director of Vingroup Corporation, shared that the Corporation has decided to deploy the support package today with the motto of timely - right target - practical. He also called on the business community and people to join hands to support people to overcome this difficult time.

Over the years, Vingroup has always accompanied people across the country in volunteer activities and emergency support when natural disasters and epidemics occur, such as responding to the Covid-19 pandemic, flood relief, helping people go to school, free medical examination and treatment or supporting livelihoods for the poor... with a total budget of over 30,000 billion VND.
