Gasoline price today July 22: Gasoline will decrease, oil increase?

World oil prices fell slightly in the first trading session of the week. Domestically, gasoline prices are forecast to fluctuate in opposite directions in this week's operating session (Thursday afternoon, July 24).

The latest European sanctions on Russian oil are not expected to have a major impact on supplies, according to Reuters. However, the market seems to be worried about the possibility of a shortage of diesel supplies as the EU sanctions are related to Russia's major refinery in India.

The EU measures come after US President Donald Trump threatened to impose sanctions on countries buying Russian exports if Russia does not agree to a peace deal within 50 days.

Analysts said the most notable point in this sanctions package is the ban on imports of refined oil products from Russia in third countries. They also emphasized that monitoring the amount of crude oil entering refineries in these countries will be very challenging, limiting the decline in crude oil prices.

In another development, Iran, an oil-producing country under sanctions, is expected to hold nuclear talks with Britain, France and Germany on July 25. The meeting comes after the three European countries warned that if Iran does not resume talks, international sanctions will be reimposed.

The developments in world prices have caused forecasts for domestic gasoline prices to change constantly. Updates to this morning (July 22) show that imported gasoline prices are fluctuating compared to domestic prices. Accordingly, gasoline prices may be adjusted in opposite directions on July 24, with gasoline prices decreasing slightly by about VND120/liter and oil prices increasing by VND200-350/liter. This forecast may change if today's world oil prices fluctuate./.
