BTO-Phan Thiet City Center for Culture, Sports and Tourism has just organized the 2023 Chinese Chess Championship.
This year's tournament has nearly 40 players from 9 communes, wards and one enterprise participating. The competition format is Swiss Open and consists of 7 rounds.
This is an activity in response to the National Tourism Year “ Binh Thuan – Green Convergence”. At the same time, it maintains and develops the chess sport in the city, expands and strengthens the relationship of solidarity, exchange and study to develop professional qualifications between athletes in the province, contributing to serving the spiritual life of the people.
As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded the first team prize to Duc Thang team, second to Thien Nghiep 1 team, and third to Duc Nghia team. In the singles category, athlete Tran Xuan Nghia (Phu Tai) won the gold medal; Truong Anh Kiet (Duc Thang) - silver medal; Ly Vay Manh (Duc Nghia) - bronze medal.
