Stemming from his love for his homeland, Mr. Dinh Hoang Tinh, who has more than 10 years of experience as a tour guide, opened the Wind Season Coffee Shop in 2024. The idea of forming the shop originated from Mr. Tinh's attachment to the fields, where there are seasons of golden rice, seasons of flooding full of alluvium...

The unique point of the restaurant is its rustic yet poetic space. A simple thatched roof in the middle of the field, a 50m long wooden bridge across the field, a raft for fishing, a sampan anchored under a row of yellow sesban trees when the water rises. In the distance, the majestic Co To mountain reflects, connecting with the mysterious That Son range, creating a majestic background for the countryside picture.

Mr. Tinh said that the fields here have two main seasons. From December to June is the rice season, with the fragrant scent of ripe rice. In August, the upstream waters bring silt, opening the flood season that lasts until November. At that time, the fields are flooded, turning into lakes like a mirror reflecting the clouds and sky. Tourists can experience rustic activities such as pouring rice husks, removing roofing, checking nets, picking sesbania and canarium.

Visitors to the restaurant at different times have different experiences. Dawn, morning mist on the water, the first rays of sunlight spreading golden on the young rice fields, creating an unforgettable peaceful scene.

At sunset, when the red sun gradually disappears behind the Co To mountain range, the whole space is immersed in a magical purple-orange color, leaving many tourists stunned. The time from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. every day is also the busiest time of the restaurant, because it is both cool and you can watch the sun "fall" at the foot of the mountain.

Mr. Nguyen Dan Anh, a tourist from Can Tho City, shared: "This is a familiar meeting place for young people who love to hunt for photos. Sitting in any corner of the shop, you can easily have magical photos. But more importantly, the feeling of being immersed in nature, watching the green fields, seeing the mountains right before your eyes, is really hard to compare to anywhere else."

Ms. Tran My Duyen (a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) enjoyed the experience of the flood season: "This is the first time I rowed a boat in the middle of a flooded field, picking sesbania flowers while listening to the chirping of birds. The scenery here reminds me of movies about the West, but in reality it is many times more beautiful."

Meanwhile, Mr. Pham Quang Huy (a tourist from Dong Thap ) chose to stay at the restaurant from early morning to late afternoon to fully enjoy the day: "The dawn here is pure, the air is fresh, and the afternoon is intoxicating with the sunset covering the fields. I feel like I am reliving my childhood attached to the fields, with the sound of frogs croaking when the flood season comes."

Amidst the hustle and bustle of modern life, Mua Gio Len is not just a coffee shop, but also a space to find peace, to remind of the simple yet vibrant beauty of the river delta in the West.
