Mr. Ma Tuan Trong, Managing Director of Grab Vietnam, shared: “Over the years, we have seen that users’ interest and support for environmental protection initiatives has become stronger. That also motivates Grab to continue to promote and diversify environmental protection activities. In addition to planting forests, this year we have also implemented initiatives to reduce emissions and save energy .
This is a testament to Grab's long-term efforts, as well as its commitment to working with government agencies and the community to create a sustainable green future."
With the power of technology and connectivity, the Green Sustainability Program will continue to create far-reaching positive impacts on the environment and local people.

Join hands to green the forest, plant 100,000 trees in 2025
The Sustainable - Green Program was launched with the signing ceremony of cooperation to implement the Grab For Good Forest afforestation project between Grab Vietnam, the Da Nang City Forest Protection Management Board, and the Sustainable Living Community Support and Development Fund (Song Fund).
Mr. Vo Hung Nhan, Director of the Da Nang City Forest Protection Management Board, shared: “Climate change is causing increasingly severe extreme weather events, storms, floods and landslides. In October alone, Vietnam suffered four consecutive major storms causing heavy damage to people and property.
This is a stark reminder of the consequences of unsustainable resource exploitation, and calls for stronger action to protect our environment.”
With 20,000 trees contributed by Grab Vietnam and Grab users through the Living Fund, about 18 hectares of Phu Ninh Lake protective forest will be covered in green.
According to the cooperation agreement, immediately after launching the program, the parties will plant 20,000 trees in the protective forest of Phu Ninh reservoir.
In addition to tree planting activities, the parties also cooperate in research and evaluation of the effectiveness of forest planting models, biodiversity conservation, as well as communication to raise public awareness and mobilize more social resources for forest conservation.
In addition to Da Nang, the Green-Strong Program also planted 80,000 more trees in the Tan Giang - Thuan Nam protective forest (in Khanh Hoa province).
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Nhan, Manager of the Green Happiness Program, representative of the Living Fund, shared: “Cooperating with Grab Vietnam in the Sustainable - Green Program not only helps expand the area of protective forests, but also spreads the spirit of joining hands for the environment.
In the Grab For Good Forest project, with the support of Grab Vietnam and the user community, the Living Fund takes on the role of supervising and managing the entire forest planting process, from surveying, to construction and reporting results.
The Forest Protection Management Board will directly implement the project according to the design and schedule, ensuring project quality, with the coordination and direction of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.
Cooperate with INTRACO to implement initiatives to reduce emissions and save energy
In addition to joining hands to green forests, the Green-Sustainable Program is cooperating with INTRACO to implement initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and save energy.
Two key activities include the free installation of more than 210,000 improved stoves to replace conventional wood stoves, helping people in several provinces and cities save fuel, and the free replacement of 6 million energy-saving LED lights for households currently using incandescent bulbs across the country.
Grab users can join these initiatives by selecting the Sustainable - Green Program feature right on the Grab app.

In addition to projects in Vietnam, donations from Grab users are also being used for conservation work at the Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary in Cambodia. This project is protecting and restoring a 290,000-hectare natural ecosystem that is home to more than 80 endangered species and supports the livelihoods of many indigenous communities.
