Last September, the exhibition of socio -economic development achievements of Quang Ninh province in the past 5 years (2020-2025) with the theme "Quang Ninh is confident, steadfast, and moving forward in the new era with the nation" made a good impression. The exhibition was like a miniature museum that recreated the glorious journey of the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Quang Ninh province.

The exhibition displays and introduces nearly 1,000 images, documents, more than 500 artifacts and 30 clips and documentaries on the province's general socio-economic development achievements demonstrated through Quang Ninh's typical OCOP products, typical tourism products of the province combined with booths displaying strategic products of 31 enterprises and economic groups.

In the period when the world and the region have many rapid and complex fluctuations, many epochal changes; the country has issued and implemented strategic policies..., the Party Committee and People of Quang Ninh province have promoted the revolutionary tradition, solidarity, "Discipline and Unity", unified will and action, focused on leadership, direction, mobilized the combined strength of the entire political system, made efforts and determined to overcome difficulties and challenges; maintained stability and achieved many important and comprehensive results in all fields, contributing with the whole country to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

Quang Ninh has agreed on the goal of building a rich, civilized, modern, and happy province, becoming a centrally-run city before 2030.

In the 2020-2025 term, Quang Ninh's economy will maintain a high and stable growth rate, with an estimated 5-year average of 10.4%/year, 1.7 times higher than the national average. The economic scale and potential will continue to expand, with GRDP per capita in 2025 reaching over 11,000 USD, 2.3 times higher than the general average (approaching the highest level of middle-income countries). The economic structure will shift strongly from "brown" to "green", with services and processing and manufacturing industries accounting for about 2/3 of GRDP. Total budget revenue will always be among the top in the country; tourism will recover spectacularly, welcoming over 19 million visitors in 2024, affirming its position as a national tourism center.

In particular, Quang Ninh province has been persistent, proactive and creative in implementing the "three breakthroughs" strategy and key programs according to the Resolution of the 15th Provincial Party Congress, creating a solid foundation for the new development stage. The socio-economic infrastructure system, especially transport, urban, tourism and service infrastructure, has been invested synchronously and modernly with nearly 200 km of highway - the longest in the country, Van Don international airport, seaports and international border gates connecting the region and the world. The urbanization rate is fast, among the top 5 provinces in the country; high-quality human resources are focused on development, associated with comprehensive reform of education, health care and improving population quality. Administrative reform and the investment and business environment have been greatly improved. For many consecutive years, Quang Ninh has ranked first in the country in PCI and the indexes of integrity, innovation and action in serving the people. These are proofs affirming the pioneering and dynamism of Quang Ninh in innovation, rapid and sustainable development.

Along with economic development, Quang Ninh has focused on comprehensively developing culture, society, and people associated with traditional cultural identity. Social security and welfare are guaranteed, leading the country in eliminating 100% of temporary houses and newly-emerged dilapidated houses; there are no more poor or near-poor households according to the poverty standards of the Central and the province. The province has reached the finish line 3 years ahead of schedule of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021 - 2025. People's lives are constantly improving, especially in disadvantaged areas; focusing on vocational training, job creation, child protection, and elderly care. Attention is paid to medical work and public health care; disease prevention and control capacity is improved. Quang Ninh is a bright spot in the forefront of preventing, combating, and safely, flexibly, and effectively adapting to the Covid-19 pandemic according to the motto "3 before", "4 on-site", actively, proactively, remotely, early, from the grassroots; maintain the "Safe - Stable - Developing" area. This has become a common lesson throughout the country.

National defense, security, order, and social safety are ensured; national sovereignty and security on borders and islands are maintained, avoiding passive and unexpected situations; building a peaceful, friendly, stable, cooperative, and developing border. Foreign affairs activities are focused on expanding and increasingly going into depth and comprehensiveness.

The achievements in the past 5 years are the crystallization of the persistent, creative, inheriting and developing efforts of the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Ninh province. This is an important premise and foundation, creating momentum for Quang Ninh to develop more rapidly and sustainably; continuing to be one of the economic growth poles, with attractiveness and spreading power in the Northern Key Economic Zone in particular, the Northern region and the whole country in general.
