Hanoi sets up a team to draft a project on sidewalk exploitation

Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan has just signed Decision No. 3928/QD-UBND on the establishment of the Drafting Team of the Hanoi People's Committee's Project on Management, Exploitation and Use of Roads and Sidewalks in Hanoi.

Accordingly, the Drafting Team is headed by Mr. Nguyen The Cong - Deputy Director of the Department of Construction. The Team is responsible for researching, developing and advising the City People's Committee on the Project on Management, Exploitation and Use of Roads and Sidewalks in Hanoi, submitting to competent authorities for approval and promulgation of the Project according to procedures and regulations.

The Drafting Team uses the seal of the Department of Construction to operate; The Team's operating expenses are provided by the City budget to the Department of Construction in accordance with current legal regulations; Team members work part-time. The Team will dissolve itself after the Project is issued.

Previously, in May 2023, the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Transport, the Department of Planning and Architecture, the City Police, the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to advise the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to issue a Directive on inspection and management of sidewalk and road use in the area to strengthen the leadership of Party committees at all levels, mobilize the entire political system and people to participate;

Advise and develop a project to manage sidewalks and roads in a systematic, comprehensive, strict, public, transparent, and harmonious manner between security and order and urban economic development, associated with ensuring people's livelihood rights; focus on each step by zoning, assess impacts, and proceed to expand the scope of implementation.
