Hanoi focuses on implementing 6 criteria on new rural construction

Accordingly, based on the new rural construction situation, the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of districts, towns and related departments and branches to focus on deploying and implementing 6 criteria: 100% of districts meet new rural standards; 100% of towns and cities complete the task of building new rural areas; at least 20% of districts meet advanced new rural standards; at least 40% of communes meet advanced new rural standards; have a new rural construction project for the period 2021-2025 approved by the City People's Council; public green space in the area is at least 4m2/person.

The City People's Committee also assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of districts, towns and related departments, branches and units to focus on implementing and completing the criteria: At least 70% of the kilometers of district roads, provincial roads and national highways in the area have trees planted along the roads.

The Department of Home Affairs presides; People's Committees of districts, towns and related departments and branches focus on deploying and completing the criteria: Satisfaction index of people and organizations with the service of state administrative agencies under the management of provinces and centrally-run cities (Satisfaction index of people with the service of state administrative agencies) reaches 90% or more.

Relevant departments and branches must seriously and focus on implementation, ensuring completion of criteria in accordance with regulations; periodically report implementation results quarterly to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development for synthesis.

According to the report, up to now, the whole city has had 18/18 districts and towns meeting new rural standards; 382/382 communes meeting new rural criteria (period 2015-2020); 111 communes meeting advanced new rural standards and 20 communes meeting model new rural standards; the poverty rate in rural areas by the end of 2023 is 0.06%.
