(Baohatinh.vn) - Farmers in the Southern Ha Tinh region are entering the main pineapple harvest season. Throughout the fields, the working atmosphere is bustling, filled with the golden color and sweet aroma of ripe pineapples.

In 2024, Ky Hoa commune began to cooperate with Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company (Ninh Binh province) to conduct a trial pineapple planting on an area of ​​16 hectares. After more than 15 months of planting, the first pineapple season has begun to be harvested, opening up a new direction for economic development for local farmers.

Through evaluation, the first pineapple crop gave a good yield, each fruit weighed from 0.3 - 1kg, the estimated yield was from 35 - 45 tons/ha, the total estimated output was more than 400 tons.

This model is supported by Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company with technical support for planting, care and consumption of all products.

These days, workers of Tran Van Cuong production household (Ky Hoa commune) are busy on the hills to harvest the first large-scale pineapple crop.

Amidst the vast green of the pineapple fields, workers are urgently harvesting, meticulously selecting each qualified pineapple. Their hands are nimble, their sunburnt faces glow with joy as each truck full of pineapples is prepared to be taken to the processing plant.

After harvesting, fresh pineapples are gathered by people along the fields, ready to be transported by truck to the factory.

Mr. Tran Van Cuong said: " My family grows 8 hectares of Queen and MD2 pineapples using Israeli technology. After storms No. 5 and No. 11, the pineapple yield was significantly affected, but the first crop still yielded 40 tons/ha, with a selling price of 10,000 VND/kg. After deducting expenses, each hectare earned a profit of more than 100 million VND. After this harvest, we also gained a lot of experience in handling the remaining pineapple area harvested after Tet. . ..".

The Queen pineapple variety has the advantage of delicious taste, crispy and sweet, deep yellow flesh, easy to transport and suitable for consumer tastes. In addition, it also provides a lot of vitamin C, vitamin B6, manganese, potassium, fiber and other minerals, supporting the immune system, cardiovascular health and digestive system.

Amidst the golden sunshine after the storm, the bright smiles of pineapple growers in the Ky Hoa fields became a beautiful highlight of the harvest season. It was a smile of patience, of the hands that had diligently cultivated each pineapple tree for many months to harvest the sweet fruit today.
