Delegates attending the conference deployed the plan to evaluate and confer the title of handicraft artisan and the local industrial promotion plan in 2024.

Enterprises, professional associations or commune-level People's Committees shall prepare profiles and lists of qualified individuals according to regulations and send them to district-level People's Committees for confirmation; compile, propose in writing and send profiles to the Department of Industry and Trade in July and August.

From September to October, the Department of Industry and Trade will receive applications and advise on the establishment of an Appraisal Council, from which to select outstanding individuals to confer the title. The announcement ceremony and awarding of certificates to artisans is expected to be held in December 2024.

This is a noble reward, honoring workers who have created sophisticated products with high economic, technical and artistic value, serving consumption and export.

Since 2012, Hai Duong has started to organize the evaluation and awarding of the title of handicraft artisan. The evaluation is carried out every 2 years. Up to now, the whole province has 61 handicraft artisans concentrated in a number of professions such as: embroidery, wood carving, mechanical engineering...
