In June, plum gardens in Moc Chau began their main season. This year, the plums ripened about a month later than usual, due to the effects of the frost after Tet. In early May, some gardens opened for plum picking, but the plums were off-season, so the fruit was green and not as big as in the main season.
Plum valleys that are attracting tourists include Na Ka, Cho Long, Mu Nau, Tan Lap, and Ban On. These are all famous tourist destinations in Moc Chau. In the season of white plum blossoms after Tet, these are also the most popular tourist destinations.
Plums vary in size depending on the garden and tree. Each tree usually has only a few large fruits, so if you want this fruit, you have to visit many trees, even many gardens.
