Head of the Department of Environmental Management, Department of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Tu Duc said that the "Make the world cleaner" campaign, organized widely in the province, is an opportunity to spread community activities for the environment, calling on individuals, groups and communities to join hands, contributing to improving the effectiveness of environmental protection work and adapting to climate change.
Responding to the 2025 campaign, the Provincial People's Committee has directed departments, branches, localities, and businesses in the area to organize community activities, such as: Hanging banners, billboards, posters, and slogans on environmental topics in public areas, streets, and office headquarters...; strengthening inspection and supervision of establishments with high risks of causing environmental pollution; launching a movement to simultaneously collect and treat domestic solid waste and clean up the environment.

Communes, wards and special zones organize campaigns for all people to respond and participate in environmental protection in order to create strong changes, spreading widely throughout society about the awareness of preserving a bright-green-clean-beautiful environment; promote communication, education , raise awareness so that agencies, businesses, communities and people voluntarily practice civilized lifestyles, commit and voluntarily, actively maintain environmental hygiene; participate in general environmental sanitation activities at home, workplace, school, street, residential area, canals, rivers, lakes, beaches; limit and gradually do not use disposable plastic products, hard-to-decompose nylon bags...
Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Dinh Trung Hieu said that the youth union branches in the province have simultaneously launched "Green Sunday" and responded to the campaign "Make the World Cleaner" in 2025. Accordingly, 100% of the youth union branches have organized environmental sanitation activities; collected, classified and treated waste in residential areas, public places, markets, offices, schools, beaches, rivers and streams.
Handling garbage backlogs, erasing black spots of environmental pollution, removing illegal advertisements and classified ads, carrying out general cleaning at martyrs' cemeteries and self-managed roads; implementing the movement against plastic waste; taking care of trees, shade trees, and flowers on roads, and renovating the "Youth Flower Road" projects. The whole province had more than 10,000 union members participating in the activities with more than 110 youth tasks carried out on "Green Sunday".
The "Clean Up the World" campaign was launched globally by the United Nations Environment Programme in 1993 and is held annually in September. This is an activity to improve the effectiveness of environmental protection work, and at the same time call on individuals, groups and communities to take practical actions to reduce pressure on nature and the environment, towards the goal of developing a circular and sustainable economy.
Also in the series of activities responding to the "Make the world cleaner" campaign in 2025, the Department of Agriculture and Environment will coordinate with Vo Nguyen Giap High School for the Gifted to organize activities to classify and collect recyclable solid waste in schools with the participation of more than 500 union members and youth. This activity aims to contribute to propaganda, education, and raising awareness of organizations and individuals in environmental protection, waste reduction, and environmental landscape preservation.
From there, there are practical actions to protect the environment; use rationally, economically, and limit the generation of solid waste from studying to daily activities; increase the participation of students and schools in waste collection and recycling; create a green, clean, beautiful, safe, and civilized learning environment.
