After finishing his shift at Vung Ang port, Mr. Phan Van Vo - a worker at Lao - Viet International Port Joint Stock Company (Vung Ang ward) was taken by shuttle bus straight to what he still calls his "second home". That is the collective housing area reserved for workers. This place is not only clean but also fully equipped with amenities: air conditioner, water heater, clean water filter, professional kitchen.

In particular, since 2024, the company has invested in an industrial laundry room to serve workers free of charge. Thanks to that, Mr. Vo and workers in the whole company have reduced the burden of housework, have more time to rest and recover their health. This is also the only enterprise in Ha Tinh equipped with a laundry room to serve the lives of workers.
Mr. Phan Van Vo shared: “Having been with the company for more than 10 years, I clearly feel the company's thoughtful care for its workers. Currently, the company supports 100% of the cost of 2 daily meals for workers at 40,000 VND/meal; workers with children from 1 to 5 years old are supported with childcare costs at 50,000 VND/child/month. Every year, the company fully implements policies such as: Buying risk insurance for workers; visiting sick and mourning; supporting treatment costs for serious illnesses; taking care of Tet for workers far from home, workers in especially difficult circumstances... The company also builds a fund to support workers and provides interest-free loans.”


Determining salary as an important factor to ensure the legitimate rights of workers, in recent years, Lao-Viet International Port Joint Stock Company has continuously improved workers' income. In 2023, the average income reached 13.6 million VND/person/month, and by 2024 it reached 15.21 million VND/person/month, an increase of 11.8%. In addition to the main salary, Lao-Viet International Port Joint Stock Company currently also applies a number of allowances: position, area, telephone, means of transportation, concurrently holding some assigned jobs... to ensure reasonable remuneration, suitable to the nature of the work and working conditions of the workers.


Mr. Le Van Bao, Head of Human Resources - Salary Department, Chairman of the Trade Union of Lao - Viet International Port Joint Stock Company shared: "The company always creates a good working environment and conditions to encourage staff and workers to contribute. All workers are fully equipped with protective clothing, working in safe conditions for life and health. Currently, more than 250 employees of the company have signed contracts and fully participate in social insurance, health insurance and life insurance. To be flexible and humane in the leave regime, the company creates conditions for employees to be able to combine the number of untaken leave days for up to 3 consecutive years, helping them proactively arrange their leave time in accordance with their personal circumstances and the production and business plans of the unit."
