On October 9, Di An Ward (HCMC) implemented the Project "Civil mobilization work to participate in building a cultural and civilized lifestyle in the ward for the period 2025-2030", associated with the launch of the model "Giving rice - Green and beautiful streets". This is an activity to welcome the Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the term 2025-2030.

Comrade Vo Van Hong, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Di An Ward, said that Di An is the most populous ward in Ho Chi Minh City, with 234,000 people. The ward also has tens of thousands of workers, laborers, traders, and people living and working there.
Besides positive changes, there are still some problems such as littering or encroachment on sidewalks...

Local leaders expect the model "Giving rice - Greening and beautifying the streets", with members being lottery ticket vendors, small traders, and people with difficult economic circumstances, to become pioneers in propaganda, mobilization, guidance, and direct participation in maintaining environmental hygiene, beautifying the landscape of neighborhoods, roads, and local boarding houses.

Currently, 19 neighborhoods in Di An ward have established the model "Giving rice - Greening the streets". Each month, members will receive support of 10 kg of rice and necessary necessities mobilized by the locality from socialized sources.

According to comrade Vo Van Hong, in the coming time, the locality will continue to research, perfect and replicate, mobilize social resources, businesses, and philanthropists to accompany the locality in environmental protection and social security. Be flexible and creative in implementation - convert scrap and waste into rice and necessities to support the disadvantaged - active members of self-governing groups.
“If every organization, business and citizen joins hands, the model “Giving rice - Making the streets green and beautiful” will become a symbol of solidarity, sharing and affection in Di An”, commented comrade Vo Van Hong.
