Effectiveness of intensive longan cultivation model in Tan Hung commune

On August 14, at the hall of Dien Bien village's cultural house, Tan Hung commune, the Management Board of the Project "Conservation and development of longan and lychee growing areas of Hung Yen province in the period of 2020-2025, with a vision to 2030" (Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hung Yen province) held a field conference to evaluate the effectiveness of the intensive cultivation model of longan in Tan Hung commune (abbreviated as the model).

The model is deployed in Dien Bien village, Tan Hung commune from the Winter-Spring crop of 2023 with rock sugar longan and ancient pulp varieties; scale of 2 hectares; tree age from 13-15 years old. The model applies intensive technical processes: Fertilization, flowering treatment techniques, increasing the ability of longan fruit to set, bark ringing techniques, pruning techniques, using foliar fertilizers, organic fertilizers and pesticides...

Through evaluation, the application of technical measures in intensive longan cultivation contributes to increasing the rate of flowering and fruiting, reducing the rate of pests and diseases.
