Bao Vinh A Quarter: A bright spot in the Patriotic Emulation Movement

During the period of 2020-2025, under the leadership of the Party Committee and the close direction and management of the local government, Bao Vinh A quarter (in Bao Vinh ward) has achieved many outstanding results in all fields. The material and spiritual life of the people has been constantly improved; security and social order have been maintained; patriotic emulation movements have developed strongly and spread widely in the community.

The achievements of Bao Vinh A ward have been recognized and highly appreciated by leaders at all levels. In particular, the collective of cadres and people of Bao Vinh A ward will be honored at the Patriotic Emulation Congress of Dong Nai province on October 15, 2025.

Promoting local advantages, sustainable economic development

Bao Vinh A Quarter has 856 households/3,291 people, located in the central area and along important main roads of Bao Vinh ward.

Taking advantage of its favorable geographical location, Bao Vinh A quarter has focused on developing small-scale industries, trade and services. Up to now, the whole quarter has more than 200 stable production and business establishments, contributing to job creation, increasing income and promoting local socio-economic development.

Following the local delegation, we visited the handbag sewing model of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh and his wife (in Bao Vinh A neighborhood). Mr. Binh said: His family's economy was difficult in the past, so he applied to work for a company specializing in handbag production to stabilize his life. After learning knowledge, experience and saving capital, he decided to quit his job at the company, invested in machinery to receive orders for handbag sewing for companies, and has been doing so for 17 years now. The model has helped his family have a better life, and at the same time created stable jobs for many local workers.

At the same time, every year, the Bao Vinh A Ward Management Board has proactively developed plans and closely followed the Party cell's resolutions, coordinated with the government and relevant agencies to support the people. Thanks to that, the promotion of restructuring crops and livestock in accordance with the soil and local economic situation has achieved high efficiency. Farming households have access to scientific and technical advances, helping to increase productivity, especially in the field of rice cultivation with an average yield of 6 tons of rice/hectare. Irrigation systems and intra-field canals are regularly maintained, ensuring water sources for production.

According to the Secretary of the Bao Vinh A Ward Party Cell, Nguyen Thi Hong, there are currently about 10 hectares of agricultural land in the ward; of which rice is the main crop. In recent times, the Ward Executive Board has always paid attention to and introduced farmers to participate in training courses to improve their skills in plant care, while creating favorable conditions to help them access preferential policy capital sources to have conditions to invest in developing production models. Many cases have overcome difficulties and stabilized their lives thanks to this.

“When the economy is stable, people actively participate in local activities, comply with the Party's policies and the State's laws. In particular, budget collection and citizen obligations always meet and exceed targets, with non-agricultural tax reaching 100% or more of the set plan,” said Ms. Hong.

Maintain security, build a rich cultural life

Over the past 5 years, Bao Vinh A Ward has made a clear mark in emulation movements, especially the Movement to Build a Civilized Urban Ward. The people of the ward have contributed more than 368 million VND and 200 working days to concretize 314m of inter-group roads, install lighting on 3 routes with a length of 143m, contributing to improving infrastructure, creating a spacious, clean and beautiful appearance for the residential area.

In the Movement for the Whole People to Protect National Security, residents of Bao Vinh A neighborhood contributed 55 million VND to install 20 security cameras in 10 alleys, helping to significantly reduce crimes and social evils.

Bao Vinh A Quarter is a typical bright spot in the emulation movements of the ward. The cadres, party members and people here are always united, dynamic, creative, promoting internal strength to develop the economy, maintain security, and build an increasingly rich cultural life. The achievements honored at the upcoming Dong Nai Province Patriotic Emulation Congress are a worthy reward, recognizing the continuous efforts of the neighborhood collective.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy (residing in Bao Vinh A neighborhood) shared: “Previously, the road of more than 100m long leading to 2 residential groups: 2A and 2B of Bao Vinh A neighborhood was degraded and often had social evils. Thanks to the timely attention of leaders at all levels and the solidarity of the people, they worked together to make the road solid, bring electricity and install 6 cameras. Since then, the security and order situation has been very stable.”

In addition, the movements: All people unite to build a cultural life, Traffic safety, For the poor, Gratitude, Caring for the elderly... have been implemented synchronously and effectively in Bao Vinh A neighborhood. Up to now, the neighborhood has no more poor households, and the policies and regimes for people with meritorious services and social protection beneficiaries have been fully implemented.

In addition, cultural, artistic and sports activities are organized regularly, creating a healthy playground, connecting the community. In the field of national defense and security, the neighborhood always completes 100% of the annual military recruitment target, maintaining security, order and social safety...

With the efforts and achievements, the collective of cadres and people of Bao Vinh A quarter were awarded the title of Advanced Labor Collective by the People's Committee of the old Long Khanh city for 2 years: 2023, 2024 and the Party Committee and People's Committee of Bao Vinh ward awarded a certificate of merit for their achievements in the Patriotic Emulation Movement for many consecutive years...

Secretary of Bao Vinh A Ward Party Cell Nguyen Thi Hong said: To achieve the above outstanding results, the Ward Executive Board always identifies mass mobilization work and the Patriotic Emulation Movement as the foundation to unite the people.
