Visiting the goat farm of Mr. Dao Van Cuong's family, before our eyes was a cool, green garden of nearly 2 hectares with hundreds of green-skinned grapefruit trees laden with fruit waiting to be harvested. In the goat farming area, on an area of nearly 500 square meters , Mr. Dao Van Cuong's family built a solid barn with brick walls, a roof, a wooden floor with many partitions... creating an airy space for goats to live and reproduce. It is known that at first, goats are kept in fixed cages to get used to the environment and climate. In the long term, the goats will be free-range in the garden for better development.

Mr. Cao Minh - Deputy Head of the Economic Department of Tay Khanh Vinh Commune said: "Currently, there are 4 households raising goats in the commune, but only Mr. Dao Van Cuong's family participates in the model of raising goats for reproduction associated with eco-tourism". This model was implemented by the Provincial Center for Technology Transfer and Agricultural Extension from July 2025, with a scale of 42 goats (including: 2 foreign male goats, 32 crossbred female goats and 8 female goats), with more than 3.3 tons of mixed feed for goats. The model was implemented for 3 years, the implementation cost was supported by the State for 70% of breeds and materials, the rest was contributed by households. Initially, the model has shown potential and effectiveness in accordance with the local orientation of economic development, increasing people's income, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction.

Excited to be selected by the Provincial Center for Technology Transfer and Agricultural Extension as the pioneer household in the commune to implement the model, in addition to the State's financial support for materials and breeding animals, Mr. Dao Van Cuong's family has invested more than 500 million VND to build barns, renovate vacant land, dig wells to get water to grow grass to proactively source raw materials for raising goats. "The family has a large area of land and proactively sources investment capital, so implementing the model is very favorable. Raising goats is not difficult, easy to tame so it does not require human resources. This breed of goat is clean, suitable for tourists to visit and experience the goat raising model associated with eco-tourism", Mr. Cuong shared.
Mr. Cuong said that the goat farming model combined with eco-tourism not only helps to increase diversified income from products such as: meat goats, breeding goats, goat milk... but also optimizes resources in proactively providing raw materials and fertilizers for crops, creating an ecological environment to attract tourists.

According to Mr. Cao Minh, with the potential for economic development, associated with eco-tourism to increase income for people, especially ethnic minority areas, in the coming time, the locality will continue to promote and replicate the model to attract people to participate. In addition to creating conditions for people to access the model (supporting breeds, loans), the commune will also coordinate with specialized agencies, the Provincial Farmers' Association, and cooperatives to organize training courses to share knowledge and experience in advanced livestock farming, safe production processes to increase value, stabilize the market, and product output.
