The program marks the beginning of a training model closely linked to practice – where students learn, work, try and fail in a safe but challenging space.
Connecting businesses – expanding international study and employment opportunities
According to MSc. PhD Tran Thuy Tram Quyen - Vice Principal of HIU, the Startup Ecosystem was formed on the basis of cooperation between the school and businesses, helping students develop skills, approach reality and nurture the entrepreneurial spirit right from the classroom.

“HIU students have opportunities for internships and jobs domestically and internationally, and can participate in mentoring programs, raise capital, and implement real projects. Outstanding ideas will be introduced to Korean investors and international incubators,” Ms. Quyen emphasized.
The Faculty of International Languages and Cultures of HIU is considered one of the units that clearly benefit from the Startup Ecosystem. With the extensive cooperation between HIU and Korean businesses and associations, students majoring in Korean Language have more opportunities to intern, work and participate in startup projects with Korean businesses.
Cultural exchange programs, seminars and cooperation projects also create conditions for students to practice their language skills, professional skills and gain a deeper understanding of the international working environment. The presence of Korean partners at this event is also a testament to the orientation of connecting language training, culture and the practical working environment that HIU is pursuing.
From idea to action: Students get tested in a real-world environment
Within the framework of the event, HIU signed many memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with organizations, businesses and Vietnamese-Korean startup associations; at the same time, honored 4 international mentors from Korea - who will directly accompany students in startup projects.

The HIU Startup Ecosystem opens up many experiential opportunities for students, especially in the International Language and Culture major, where students can participate in projects with Korean businesses, exchange cultures and practice professional skills.
Representative of NATANU team - Champion of HIU Startup 2025 competition shared: "Thanks to the startup ecosystem, we learned how to turn ideas into actions, work effectively in teams and become more confident when approaching the market."

HIU's startup model demonstrates an effort to innovate in higher education , where students not only learn theory but also experiment, innovate and develop themselves in a business-connected environment.
