At Hang Day Stadium, Hanoi lost 1-2 to Ninh Binh in round 7 of V-League 2025 - 2026.
This was Do Hoang Hen’s debut match after becoming a Vietnamese citizen. Although he did not score or assist, Hoang Hen still made an outstanding contribution to the improved playing style of Hanoi FC and was praised by head coach Harry Kewell.
"Do Hoang Hen played excellently. He and his teammates were all excited with the most entertaining style of football that I wanted to build for Hanoi. Hoang Hen, Van Quyet and the Brazilian foreign players were all excited with the beautiful football," Coach Kewell shared after the match.
In this match, Do Hoang Hen only played for 67 minutes before leaving the field. Explaining the decision to take Hoang Hen off, coach Kewell said that the 1994-born player needed more time.
"This is only Hoang Hen's first match in a long time and we have to be careful with his physical condition. Playing 90 minutes with him right now is not easy. I believe he will be able to get even better in the future," Mr. Kewell answered Tuoi Tre Online 's question.
