Coach Troussier is supported, Vietnam team determined to defeat Indonesia team to continue

Talking about the preparation of the Vietnam National Team, VFF Vice President - Tran Anh Tu said: "VFF and coach Philippe Troussier had a meeting to discuss the plan of the Vietnam National Team. We can see that the Vietnam National Team's force is facing difficulties when many players are injured.

In fact, Mr. Troussier also determined that after the 2023 Asian Cup, the team will face difficulties in terms of personnel due to injuries. However, Mr. Troussier highly appreciated the spirit and determination of Vietnamese players through many tournaments.

Mr. Tran Anh Tu continued: “A few days ago, VFF sent the Head of the National Team to Indonesia for a pre-tournament visit. Logistical work such as accommodation and transportation has been fully prepared to ensure that the Vietnam National Team's trip to Indonesia on March 19 will go smoothly. VFF also regularly pays attention to the logistics work in the past tournaments of the Vietnam National Team.”

Although the Vietnamese team just lost 0-1 to Indonesia and was eliminated early from the group stage of the 2023 Asian Cup and coach Philippe Troussier is under heavy pressure, Mr. Tran Anh Tu still affirmed his belief in the team despite the opponent's formidable reinforcements.

“Our opponent, Indonesia, has strengthened its squad with more than 10 naturalized players. Indonesia is determined to play two matches against Vietnam. However, we have faith in the Vietnam national team. The team is striving to finish second to enter the third qualifying round of the World Cup. The next two matches against Indonesia will determine whether the Vietnam national team can reach that goal or not,” said Mr. Tran Anh Tu.
