Successfully mediated 227/300 cases within the scope of mediation at the grassroots level.

Information from the Department of Justice of Quang Tri province said that in 2024, the whole province received 300 cases within the scope of grassroots mediation, of which 227 cases were successfully mediated, reaching a rate of more than 76% (down 4% compared to 2023).

In order for the grassroots mediator team to operate effectively, improve their ability to access the law and have the skills to resolve conflicts in the community, maintain security and order in the village, the Department of Justice always focuses on training to improve the professional skills of this team.

Up to now, the whole province has 1,083 grassroots mediation teams with 5,465 mediators. During the year, the department provided 350 free copies of the Criminal Code to 350 mediation teams in the districts of Huong Hoa, Dakrong, Vinh Linh, Gio Linh, creating favorable conditions for grassroots mediators to look up legal documents to serve mediation work at the grassroots level.

Regarding legal aid, as of October 31, 2024, the Provincial State Legal Aid Center has provided legal aid for 464 cases; compared to the same period in 2023, the number of legal aid cases increased by 3%. Legal aid and mediation at the grassroots level have contributed to limiting the situation of complaints and lawsuits beyond the level of authority, ensuring social order and safety, while improving people's intellectual level and understanding of the law.
