At the "Women Run for a Smoke-Free Environment" race, Miss Vu Huong Giang not only participated as an athlete, but also represented the Organizing Committee to award scholarships to students in difficult circumstances.

Before that, Vu Huong Giang was also present at the main stage of Thong Nhat Park to attend the “Women say no to unsafe food” festival organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women’s Union. Her continuous participation in community activities shows the positive spirit and awareness of spreading a healthy and humane lifestyle of Miss Photo 2017.
Sharing the reason for participating in the race, Vu Huong Giang said: “When I received the invitation from the program, I immediately agreed because this is not just a simple run but also an opportunity to spread the message of healthy living, self-love and honoring Vietnamese women. As a mother of 2 children, I hope I can convey positive motivation to my children and the community.”

For Vu Huong Giang, the biggest impression of the race was the dynamic spirit and the connection between generations of Vietnamese women. “Seeing women of all ages and professions joining in this meaningful activity, I clearly felt the spirit of solidarity and joining hands for a healthy, smoke-free living environment. It was a very touching and exciting feeling on a beautiful sunny autumn morning like today,” she shared.
As the winner of Miss Photo - a major beauty contest organized by the Vietnam Women's Newspaper since 2000, Vu Huong Giang believes that a woman's beauty is not only reflected in her appearance but also in her lifestyle and the values she pursues. "A modern, confident, healthy woman will always shine in her own way. Saying no to cigarettes, living positively and aiming for a clean, green environment is a way to show respect for herself, her loved ones and the community," she said.

Vu Huong Giang wants to send to women in particular and the community in general the message to love and cherish yourself by taking care of your health from the smallest things such as choosing healthy foods, saying no to cigarettes, exercising regularly, maintaining a scientific lifestyle...
“When you are healthy and happy, you not only spread positive energy to your loved ones but also contribute to building a better community and living environment,” the beauty added.

According to Vu Huong Giang, today’s youth have many tools and platforms to convey the message “For a smoke-free environment”. The cooperation of both genders, along with creative media campaigns, sports activities, volunteering, etc. will help raise awareness and form civilized, smoke-free living habits in society. “Small actions but performed regularly and widely connected will create great effects”, the beauty queen emphasized.

Sharing about her commitment to sports, Vu Huong Giang said that at first she came to practice as a discipline, then it became a joy. Previously, she practiced yoga and gym to maintain her figure, but the turning point came after she gave birth to her first child, during the Covid-19 period, she accidentally participated in a running race in the park. “Encouraged by my fellow countrymen, I started trying to run the first kilometers, starting from 1, then 3, then 5 km… Unexpectedly, that habit helped me overcome postpartum depression without me knowing,” she said.

Since then, jogging has become an indispensable habit of Vu Huong Giang. She regularly participates in community activities and marathons, including the 21km distance. She considers sports as a "golden secret" to help maintain health, balance the mind and preserve positive energy. "Each time you exercise, even for just 30 minutes, helps the body secrete happy hormones, making the spirit much more comfortable and optimistic," the beauty revealed.
In her daily life, Vu Huong Giang aims to be a positive role model for her two children. “I always believe that I have to do things myself, live a disciplined life and clearly demonstrate the values I pursue in order to be a role model for my children. I learned this from my grandmother, my mother and the precious women around me,” she shared.
Miss Vu Huong Giang was born in 1995 in Hai Phong, with a height of 1m74. At the time of her coronation as Miss Photo 2017, she was a final year student at the National Economics University.
