Hoa Phat will produce 40,000 tons of crude steel per day from the fourth quarter of 2025, meeting the market demand for HRC and construction steel.

In August 2025, Hoa Phat Group's crude steel output reached 953,000 tons, equivalent to 31,800 tons per day, an increase of 34% over the same period in 2024. It is expected that in the fourth quarter of 2025, Hoa Phat's crude steel output will reach about 40,000 tons per day. With this output, Hoa Phat is ready to fully supply the market's demand for hot rolled coil (HRC), construction steel and many other types of high-quality steel.

75% of crude steel output comes from Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Production Complex, the rest comes from Hoa Phat Hai Duong Iron and Steel Production Complex and Hoa Phat Hung Yen Steel Rolling Mill.

From the beginning of the second quarter to September 2025, blast furnaces No. 1 and No. 2 of the Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 Iron and Steel Complex project were put into operation, marking the synchronous completion of the project. Therefore, the crude steel output of the entire Hoa Phat Dung Quat Complex has continuously grown rapidly and currently reaches 30,000 tons/day.

In the closed steel production chain from iron ore, the molten pig iron of the Iron Smelter will be transferred to the oxygen furnace of the Steel Smelter to remove impurities in the pig iron water, stabilize the composition to create molten steel water. Depending on the requirements of the output product, the molten steel will go through the refining stage and be transferred to the square billet casting machine (used to produce construction steel, high-quality steel) or plate billet (used to produce HRC steel).

Besides the popular HRC line, Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 Iron and Steel Production Complex focuses on producing high-end HRC products, serving the manufacturing and processing industries, automobile industry, shipbuilding, petrochemical industry, household appliances, energy, etc.

In the first 6 months of the year, Hoa Phat Group produced 5.1 million tons of crude steel, up 17% compared to the first 6 months of 2024. Sales of HRC, construction steel, high-quality steel and steel billets reached 5 million tons, up 23% compared to the first half of last year. Hot-rolled coil alone increased by 42% compared to the first half of 2024.

Hoa Phat Group is the largest steel producer in Southeast Asia, equivalent to the Top 30 largest steel enterprises in the world . From 2026, Hoa Phat's steel production capacity will reach 16 million tons/year, including 9 million tons of HRC steel, high-quality steel, contributing to fully meeting the needs of domestic and foreign markets.
