Japanese Crown Prince and Princess visit Da Nang city

According to Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang, Da Nang city has established relationships with many localities of Japan and hopes that this relationship will continue to develop further in the coming time.

During the official visit to Vietnam, on the afternoon of September 24, Japanese Crown Prince Fumihito Akishino and Princess Kiko had a meeting and paid a courtesy call to the leaders of Da Nang city.

At the reception, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Da Nang City Nguyen Van Quang expressed his pleasure to welcome Japanese Crown Prince Fumihito Akishino and Princess Kiko to visit Da Nang City.

Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang emphasized that the visit has special significance as Vietnam and Japan celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations. This is a condition for Da Nang to promote the good cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Japan in general and between Da Nang and Japanese localities in particular.

“I really hope that the prestige and influence of the Crown Prince will promote the good and friendly relationship between Vietnam and Japan in general as well as between Da Nang and Japanese localities. I wish the Crown Prince and Princess a successful visit to Vietnam. Through that, there will be many beautiful memories of the affection of the Vietnamese people as well as of Da Nang city in particular,” said Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang.

Speaking at the reception, Japanese Crown Prince Fumihito Akishino said this was his third visit to Vietnam but his first visit to Da Nang.

The Crown Prince had heard many stories about Da Nang and was looking forward to his visit. Therefore, when planning his visit to Vietnam, he chose Da Nang as his destination.

Crown Prince Fumihito Akishino emphasized that the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan are at a good stage. In particular, Da Nang has established friendly relations with Sakai and Nagasaki cities as well as other localities.

Japanese Crown Prince Fumihito Akishino hopes that the good relationship between the two countries is based on the foundation of the state, locality as well as the people.

The Crown Prince hopes that in the coming time, the relationship between the two countries will go into further depth.
