The youth movement in the capital has made remarkable progress.
Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union - Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Federation of Hanoi City Nguyen Duc Tien said that the Vietnam Youth Federation of Hanoi City has gone through 7 Congresses, marking the remarkable growth and development of the Vietnam Youth Federation of Hanoi City; the dedication, responsibility, affection and contributions of many generations of Union officials; the efforts of 43 Union branches and more than 900,000 members, leaving a strong mark on the youth of the capital.
The Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of Hanoi City emphasized that with the slogan of action "Patriotism - Pioneer - Exemplary - Solidarity - Creativity - Reaching out", 400 official delegates of the Congress continue to promote a high sense of responsibility, opening a new page in the work of the Union and the city's youth movement, contributing to building a rich, civilized and modern capital and country.
The political report at the Congress showed that, in the 2019 - 2024 term, the work of the Association and the city's youth movement has made remarkable progress, the Association's activities have shown their own unique colors; the Association's organization is increasingly rich in composition, diverse in forms of activities, close to and keeping up with the development needs of young people in the new era. The targets of the term have all been achieved and exceeded.
In the 2024 - 2029 term, the Vietnam Youth Union in Hanoi continues to identify "I love Hanoi" as the main movement, the concretization of the movement "I love my Fatherland" deployed by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, with the following contents: Green Hanoi, Young Hanoi, Cultural Hanoi, Civilized Hanoi and Affectionate Hanoi. Along with that, there is a program to accompany the youth of the Capital to be creative and start-up; strive every year for at least 50 youth start-up projects to be connected with businesses, investment funds or receive investment support from legal funding sources; at least 100,000 young people to receive career counseling and guidance...
At the Congress, delegates discussed contents to build a strong and comprehensive Youth Union organization, expand the solidarity front to gather youth; promote tradition, contribute youth energy to build a green, cultured, civilized and modern Capital...
Pay attention to building a model of youth in the capital
Speaking at the Congress, Standing Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Central Vietnam Youth Federation Nguyen Ngoc Luong emphasized that the next term is the time when the country enters a new stage, an era of national growth, opening up many development opportunities for young people, to realize the goals set out in the Resolution of the Hanoi Party Congress. Therefore, in the 2024 - 2029 term, the Hanoi Youth Federation needs to continue to pay attention to and research to build a model of a new generation of young people in the capital, develop comprehensively, and maintain identity on the basis of the movement "I love Hanoi".
According to the Standing Secretary of the Central Youth Union, the model of the Capital's youth is a generation of youth who are comprehensively developed in terms of morality, intelligence, physical strength and aesthetics. The Hanoi Youth Union pays attention to discovering and praising new models and factors to replicate together; along with that, actively innovating the form of organization.
Expressing the wish that the Vietnam Youth Union of Hanoi will be an organization imbued with the spirit of solidarity, connecting the will and belief of each member and youth, the Standing Secretary of the Central Youth Union emphasized that to do this, the Vietnam Youth Union of Hanoi must identify itself as the most trustworthy and companion organization of its members and youth. Taking the participation, affection and attachment of each youth to the organization, taking the comprehensive development of youth as a measure to evaluate all activities of the organization; continuing to develop member organizations under the Association to build a strong organization from the grassroots. Confident, courageous, and proactive in new tasks
Agreeing with the direction of the President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong hopes that each Union official and member of the Youth Federation from the city to the grassroots level will be more and more confident, more courageous, and committed to the common work of the city; be a vanguard force in digital transformation; take the lead in developing and supporting innovation; have many effective ways, models, and activities that are practical, sustainable, in-depth, and widely spread to all young people.
On behalf of the city's leaders, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong acknowledged the positive contributions of the capital's youth in the past term to the city's socio -economic development. At the same time, he emphasized that today's young generation has the conditions and opportunities to make choices that are appropriate to their conditions, abilities, and aspirations to contribute. From there, through specific actions, they can develop themselves and make practical contributions to society.
"The Vietnam Youth Union of the City must be a companion, a supporter, and a source of energy and encouragement for each member and young person to realize their dreams, aspirations, and ambitions," said Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong.
Along with that, the Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee requested that the Vietnam Youth Union continue to strengthen support activities for young people in starting a business and establishing a career; concretize new ideas in many fields; boldly propose to the City to have mechanisms and policies through plans and projects.
On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union awarded the Emulation Flag for excellent performance in the work of the Union and youth movement for the 2019-2024 term to the collective of the Vietnam Youth Union of Hanoi City and awarded Certificates of Merit to 7 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of the Union and youth movement for the 2019-2024 term; The Hanoi People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 collectives and 15 individuals with achievements in the emulation movement to welcome the 8th Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Youth Union of Hanoi City, term 2024-2029.
