The UNESCO Global Geoparks Network International Conference will take place in Cao Bang next September.

At the press conference on the afternoon of June 28, comrade Be Thanh Tinh, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee, said that the UNESCO Global Geopark Network International Conference will take place in Cao Bang from September 7 to 15, 2024, with many important events and activities to exchange and share experiences in implementing effective solutions to build and develop global geoparks.

Comrade Be Thanh Tinh, Standing Committee member, Head of the Propaganda Department of Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee chaired the press conference on the afternoon of June 28.

At the conference, it is expected that about 1,000 domestic and international delegates will attend the events. Also during the conference, there will be a session of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Council with the participation of delegates from many countries; a session of the Coordinating Board of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network in the Asia -Pacific region.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Cao Bang province will work with embassies of countries attending the conference to introduce local potential and strengths and discuss the possibility of expanding coordination, cooperation and development.

During the conference program, there will also be a 20th Anniversary Celebration (2004-2024) of the establishment of the Global Geopark Network; thematic seminars sharing experiences and solutions for building, developing and preserving the values ​​of Global Geoparks; delegates visiting and conducting field surveys of tourist routes in Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark...
