Cooperation workshop between enterprises and educational institutions in Nghe An

On the morning of October 11, Nghe An University and the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board jointly organized a workshop and signed a recruitment cooperation agreement between businesses, educational institutions and Nghe An University.

Attending the workshop were Dr. Nguyen Dinh Tuong - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Council of Nghe An University; representatives of the Board of Directors and departments, faculties, teachers and students.

Also attending were representatives of departments and offices under the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board; experts, employers and businesses in need of recruiting workers.

In his welcome speech, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Hieu - Rector of Nghe An University emphasized that the core mission of the university is to train and provide high-quality human resources for the industrialization and modernization of the country and the province. Therefore, the university's goal is not only to focus on training and ensuring the quality of human resources but also to train skills to meet the criteria of employers and market needs.

To improve the quality of training, along with providing knowledge, in recent years, the school has also cooperated and invited businesses and employers to give lectures at the school to supplement practical knowledge and orient professional skills for students.

Participating in the workshop, the representative of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board informed about some features of attracting FDI investment into the province. For 3 consecutive years, Nghe An has been one of the 10 localities attracting the largest FDI investment in the country, with the total accumulated investment capital up to this point reaching 6.5 billion USD.

Currently, industrial parks employ nearly 60,000 workers and in the near future, the need to recruit new workers will reach 100,000 workers, so job opportunities for you are huge.

The Southeast Economic Zone highly appreciates the school’s initiative in organizing a workshop to connect and create jobs for students. This activity demonstrates the school’s initiative in building a connection between the “3 houses” including the school, businesses and the State to train and connect to find jobs for students and workers. The Southeast Economic Zone Management Board is committed to closely coordinating with the school to promote this connection.

At the workshop, experts, businesses and employers reported on topics stating the current situation of the information technology industry, opportunities and challenges; solutions to promote comprehensive cooperation between Nghe An University and IPA Group; the current situation of human resources in the veterinary industry and the roadmap for training veterinary students' skills to meet job positions; discussions on training programs with the participation of businesses; the current situation of scientific research and technology transfer between schools and businesses; limitations and shortcomings of young human resources...

Based on the comments and suggestions from businesses and employers, the representatives of the Organizing Committee will absorb and gradually adjust and perfect the training curriculum accordingly; at the same time, submit to competent authorities a policy to support and encourage students to participate in study and internship programs in the coming time.

At the conference, Nghe An University signed a memorandum of cooperation with 5 partner enterprises for training and recruitment. On the part of the enterprises and sponsors, they also awarded scholarships and study encouragement funds to the school with a total value of 950 million VND./.
