Hue: Fueling the spirit of learning through reenacting the Truyen Lo Ceremony

Combining the Excellent Student Commendation Ceremony with the Lo Transmission Ceremony not only helps preserve and promote historical values ​​in the ancient capital of Hue, but also inspires many generations of students to promote the spirit of studiousness.

On August 24, at Ngo Mon Square ( Hue City), Hue City People's Committee held the Ceremony to honor "Honorable Students of the Whole School" of Hue City for the 2024-2025 school year.

Activities to spread the spirit of studiousness, good study, and making many achievements in learning.

The ceremony honored 384 students; of which, 212 were primary school students, 132 were middle school students and 40 were high school students.

The ceremony was held in the form of a cultural festival, associated with the Truyen Lo Ceremony (the ceremony to announce the names of the doctors after passing the exams of the Nguyen Dynasty) which was recreated through a theatrical form at Ngo Mon with ancient rituals and ceremonies.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, said that combining the Honorary Student Award Ceremony with the Truyen Lo Ceremony not only helps preserve and promote historical and cultural values ​​in the ancient capital of Hue, but also inspires many generations of students to promote the spirit of studiousness and good study; nurture and spread the unique cultural identity of the ancient capital, harmonizing tradition and modernity.

The ceremony also fostered the pride and responsibility of students, the future talents of their homeland and country.

The Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee hopes that students will not be satisfied with the results they have achieved, but need to strive even harder, clearly identify the responsibility of students towards the requirements of society to live with ideals; constantly study, practice creativity, and achieve many high achievements in the future.

The City's leaders will continue to care for and accompany the education career and follow the students' learning path, continue to have policies to consolidate and promote the position and reputation, and maintain the brand of a quality education and training center in the region and the whole country.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Hue continues to affirm its position in the top of the country when 85/108 students won prizes at the National Excellent Student Competition (78.7%), 2 students won Asian Physics Olympiad Medals (1 Silver Medal, 1 Bronze Medal) and 2 students won International Olympic Medals (including 1 Silver Medal at the International Physics Olympiad and 1 Silver Medal at the International Biology Olympiad).

In particular, Quoc Hoc-Hue High School for the Gifted has continuously set a record for 3 consecutive years of having students enter the final round of the contest "Road to Olympia."

The city's high school graduation rate in 2025 reached 99.05%; the number of candidates with failing scores was the lowest among 34 provinces and cities; ranked 9th out of 34 provinces and cities in terms of score distribution, including 5 subjects in the top 10 provinces and cities with the highest average scores in the country.

In addition, Hue students also achieved many outstanding achievements in the fields of: Science and technology, innovative startups, national English speaking, UPU international letter writing and regional and national competitions for students./.
