Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang inspected the response work to storm No. 10 in Nghe An.

On the morning of September 28, the Ministry of National Defense's inspection delegation led by Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, inspected the response to storm No. 10 in Nghe An.

On the side of Military Region 4, there were Major General Le Hong Nhan - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Military Region; leaders of the Military Region's agencies.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Colonel Dinh Bat Van - Commander of the Provincial Military Command; representatives of leaders of departments and branches.

According to the report, up to now, agencies and units of Military Region 4 and Nghe An province have proactively deployed measures to respond to storm No. 10 in a drastic and synchronous manner, ensuring to minimize the damage caused by the storm. Adhering to the "4 on-site" motto, maintaining forces, means, facilities, food and provisions ready to respond to situations that may arise; identifying expected situations and areas that may require evacuation.

At the inspection, the Ministry of National Defense delegation heard a quick report on plans for natural disaster prevention and control, search and rescue, combat readiness, communication, calling on ships to enter safe storm shelters, logistics and technical support, and mobilization of forces and means when situations arise.

The Ministry of National Defense delegation directly inspected the situation in a number of key areas in Nghe An province. Through the actual inspection in Cua Lo Ward, it shows that currently, the provincial military agencies and units have been urgently mobilizing all resources to support the evacuation of people, vehicles, and people's assets out of dangerous areas; reviewing constructions, areas with potential risks, areas for people to evacuate, and shelter areas, to coordinate the organization of safety solutions.

Currently, in Cua Lo ward, the authorities have urgently organized the evacuation of 150 people, mainly the elderly and children, from areas at risk of flooding to safe shelters at Nghi Thuy Primary School. Ensuring the lives and health of people in the face of the complicated developments of storm No. 10.

Speaking at the inspection, Senior Lieutenant General Huynh Chien Thang praised and highly appreciated the proactive and flexible spirit in the preparation for storm No. 10 of the military and people of Nghe An province. At the same time, he requested the agencies and units of the Nghe An provincial armed forces to strictly maintain the on-duty regime, ensure smooth communication; proactively monitor and grasp the developments of the storm; continue to thoroughly grasp the telegrams and instructions of superiors; organize reviews, adjustments, and supplements to plans; prepare forces, means, facilities, food, etc. Be ready to respond promptly and effectively when situations arise and ensure safety in all aspects.

Along with that, Nghe An Military Forces must closely coordinate with local Party committees, authorities and military units stationed in the area, ready to mobilize to help people respond and minimize damage caused by the storm.
