According to Mr. Le Quang Tu Do, the reason why the TikTok inspection is taking so long is because it involves a cross-border platform that is more complicated than domestic businesses. The TikTok inspection is finalizing a commitment to fix and resolve violations in the past.

"Information on the results of Tik Tok's violation handling will be widely announced to the press and possibly at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Information and Communications in October or possibly earlier," said Mr. Le Quang Tu Do.
Previously, in May 2023, an interdisciplinary inspection team was established with the participation of the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Public Security , the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. The inspection aimed to assess TikTok's compliance with Vietnamese laws.
One of the inspection contents is compliance with regulations on providing social network services to domestic users. This includes the process of censoring information, authenticating users, preventing and removing information that violates Vietnamese law, and handling user complaints.
The test content also includes distribution algorithms, content recommendations for users and the collection, management, storage, and use of user data, ensuring information security and network security.
The working group inspected compliance with regulations on advertising, management of celebrities, and people working in the performing arts field on TikTok (Idol TikTok).
Another issue of concern is compliance with legal regulations on child protection and prevention of social evils in cyberspace.
